Got the email that it was a pricing error and that my card would be refunded this morning.

Silly question
Not sure if it was spell check or not, I'm a CPA and in the middle of tax season...non-resident state tax filings are just so much fun.
-
Silly question
I use non-residue electrical tape, or a loop the the reel foot if I'm not just removing the spool.

Tatula......SV TW vs SV TWS
TWS = T Wing System TW = T Wing When I see the acronyms, I think they're almost interchangeable, except one is a specific component (the T Wing) of the entire mechanism (T Wing System).

I'm sure that's a pricing mistake, but I went ahead and tried to order it. It'll probably get cancelled.

New Site Launched
Just a quick suggestion, it wasn't that intuitive to find the products. The top bar menu should have it there, instead of having to click on shopping cart. Otherwise, it does look more modern and clean.

Reel handle - backplay
So I have a SV105P that I'm going to use as my guinea pig for a full tear down. The most I've torn down a reel to is to clean and grease gears, oil bearings, and change out a line guide bushing to bearing. I want to do a full tear down, cleaning and re-lubrication on the SV105P. It also just so happens that I get a little backplay on the reel handle, enough that it's noticeable and annoying. Should I just try and clean the clutch roller and collar? (part 83/84) https://www.daiwa.com/us/service/manuals/image/baitcasting/SV105P-105HS.pdf Is there any other part I should consider looking at to get rid of the backplay?

Playing hookie
If the weather is perfect and I'm not too busy at work, I just tell my boss I'm taking PTO. My boss and peers know I get my work done, so I've never had an issue.

Evergreen Combat Stick
Never handled one, but Amazon has the 7'3 MH for $148. https://smile.amazon.com/Daiwa-Evergreen-Combat-Stick-RCSC-73MH/dp/B07R8G7M2Y/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=evergreen+combat&qid=1582601830&sr=8-1

Medium light rod/Reel size?
Won't know until you try it. For me, spinning reels/rod combos have more leeway in balancing because I can grip the spinning reel foot many different ways.

Reel for Helium Chatterbait Set Up
The only one I had an issue with was on a Tatula CT Type-R, but I fished it hard for frogging for the season and they became "geary". Daiwa replaced the gears for free after I sent in the form. I probably could have done a better job maintaining them if I regreased them mid-season. I had no other issues with the Tatula 103, or Zillions 1016's for all my other presentations.

Reel for Helium Chatterbait Set Up
I had multiple Tatula's in the CT body, which include the Zillion 1016, and SV103 TW, but I just didn't love the form factor. Both the Zillion and Tatula SV TW's were great casters, I think the only advantage of the Zillion was the spool interchangeability with other spools, but I don't think that justifies the price difference of ~$50. I now have several Alphas SV105's, but spool capacity is definitely a concern if I go with anything over 12lb fluoro/mono so most of them have braid. If you don't plan to bomb cast, then the Alphas CT SV might be ok for you. I love the form factor of the Alphas though. I would go the 2020 Tatula SV TW, based on a better form factor than the CT's body, and because it will give you some flexibility if you decide to spool something heavier on it, and it's priced the lowest.

Snakehead Fishing
They're a divisive fish, and you'll get people who love then, hate them, or are indifferent for various reasons. I'm between loving them and being indifferent. My favorite technique is definitely top water, specifically frogs and toads. I'll keep one if it's in a certain slot (4-6lb range) for the grill, otherwise I let them go rather than dispatch them.

What lb Test(braid)Spinning Reel
When are you going to come to DC and fish for northern snakeheads with me! I use 40lb braid for the slop they live in with some of my "finesse" spinning gear presentations.

Replacement Treble Hooks
Check out this video from Tackle Advisors: Based on that video, I got some #4 & #6 needle points from wlureshop on Ebay.

What lb Test(braid)Spinning Reel
What are you fishing on the MH rod? For me, that would dictate what lb braid I would put on the BG3000.

Probably best to stick to MegaBass if you have a certain level of comfort with them already.

SS SV103/SV103 & SV105 Inductor Swap
Countryboy, the Zillion SV TW spool won't fit into the Tatula SV TW. Oops, saw the link was the Zillion SV TW inductor. I don't have a Tatula SV TW anymore, so I can't compared the inductors. Thanks for the offer too, but I don't think there's much you can do other than maybe to make sure the factory bearings are flushed and add thinner oil to it, but it's already a really good caster out of the box IMO. Yep, I've tried it and while it fits the Alphas, it's still just a little wild compared to my other Alphas with the SV105 inductor.
