Bass Pro Shops Master Catalog...??????
They started sending the Master Catalogs out a little later a couple of years ago. I usually get mine in February.

Your favorite movies with fishing
I'll have to watch it. I don't mind cheesy and clean on bit. Thank you

Your favorite movies with fishing
Is that the movie about tournament fishing with Billy Ray Cyrus? I've never seen it. "A River Runs Through It" is one of my all time favorite movies.

Using reels the "wrong way"
I worked with a guy in Nashville that used a spinning reel just like that. Drove me doggone nuts, but whatever ever works I guess.

We don't want MORE FISHERMAN
For me it's a slippery slope. I prefer to fish by myself, in areas where I'm the only boat. I simply don't care to be around other people so I completely get where @Cnd Angler is coming from. To accomplish this, I usually fish in rivers and creeks on week days. All of that said, I do want kids, and others to take up the sport as long as they respect the resources.

My dentist reached out, hoping to cancel our next appointment in April.
That's a great story! My eye doctor is a tournament bass angler, plus a great guy and a whale of an eye doctor.

Quality Pliers
I bought some from Bass Pro around eight years or so ago. Don't remember the price, but they have been an excellent tool.

Prayers sent up.

A change in my approach to bass angling...
Assuming they are the same size, the only difference between a Lady President and a President is the color. A read an ebook years ago concerning lite line, finesse fishing. Pretty much changed my entire outlook on bass fishing.

R u a Tackleaholic?
Oh yeah, I most definitely am a tackleholic! I haven't purchased near as much this year though. I've been rewiring and updating my boat.

Fly fishing for bass?
It is a thing, although I don't know many details on how. I've caught several largemouth bass while bream fishing. All I had was a Walmart/ Eagle Claw special as I was just learning myself. I remember it being an 8' rod with weight forward, floating line. I used those little foam bodied spiders.

Amazing who you can meet fishing!
When I lived in Nashville, I used to go Smallmouth fishing on Center Hill Lake. It was nothing to see Porter Wagoner, Little Jimmy Dickens and John Anderson on the water, especially on weekdays. Porter had a big houseboat at Sligo Boat Dock. They would stop and talk, ask you if you were "on 'em". Seemed to be really nice guys to me. I met Bob Seger standing in line one morning at McDonald's in east Nashville. Met several recording engineers and producers while trout fishing in the Caney Fork River, below Center Hill Dam.

Tackle warehouse scam
Never had a card compromised and I've had one since they first came out. Low and behold, my credit union's fraud detection unit called this morning! Someone attempted to use my card at two places, $100.00 each. Nothing Tackle Warehouse related and thankfully my c/u caught it and shut down my account. I'm going to take the advice in this thread and get a card at Walmart that I can load money into. I'm older, and not real tech savvy so I have a question. I understand that when I get the card, I can load money into it initially. My question is reloading the card. Do I go back to Walmart to do it? I'm sure it can be done online, but that seems to defeat the purpose. Please advise. I'm going to the c/u in the morning to get a new card and get them to reopen my account. I'm going to ask if they have such a card.

Warranty - favorable or fiendish experiences
One of my St Croix rods broke at the top, where the end guide joined the rod blank. This was on the first outing. They couldn't have been nicer! Sent me a prepaid shipping label and within around two weeks I had a brand new rod. I've also had good experience with Bass Pro Shops warranty at the store.

Bass Pro/Sportsmans Warehouse merger....
I sure hope that S. W. will be okay. You're right about Marcus Lemonis/ Camping World. Gander Mountain seems to have been a drag for them. I know at one time, it was talked about merging Camping World and the rebranded Gander Outdoors into one building and lot in some markets. Not sure if that ever happened.

Bass Pro/Sportsmans Warehouse merger....
I'm a huge BPS/ Cabela's fan, always have been. Normally I feel that the federal government needs to stay out of private businesses, my business and states affairs for that matter, but this was a good decision on the part of the FTC.. Here's my only concern, will Sportsman's Warehouse survive? They will, as long as they find an investor or another buyer. They wouldn't have entered an agreement to sell with Great Outdoors Group (BPS/ Cabela's) if everything was great. I wish S. W. nothing but the best, I wish that there was one near me. We need more tackle/ hunting/ camping/ outdoors retailers, not less.

BPS Black Friday flyer
I love BPS, really enjoyed working there after retiring from my career. That said, this year's black Friday ad was really weak. The big sale on fishing stuff is in the spring.

Ultralight rods
I used to use ultra-light rods for trout and bluegill fishing with good success, but I wanted something a little stiffer. I purchased a 7' St Croix light action "Panfish" series rod and I love it. I have a Shimano Stradic 3000 reel and I too use 4 lb line, mono in my case. I throw a bunch of different spinners. Panther Martin, Blue Fox, Rooster Tails and more recently Joe's Flies.

Tackle warehouse scam
Exactly! One of the main reasons I'll never have a facebook account.

Is it a sin to modify crankbait lips?
Heck, you bought the crank baits. Do with them what you want. One time I bought a bunch of cranks in odd ball colors just to learn about painting them. I've never worked on the bills, but that sounds like something I'd like to mess with.

I finally did it, I cancelled my facebook account
Never had a facebook account.

Can bass see my braided line? Does it matter?
I've stopped using floro completely, just don't like it. I, with few exceptions use only mono. One the rods that I use braid, it's high vis yellow with the last 20' or so darkened with a sharpie marker. I do just fine with those set ups.
