  1. Been thinking of picking up the 7’2 Cara swim jig rod for genera purpose swim jigging with a 1/4-3/8 oz in light to moderate cover. May also use it for buzzbaits. good buy or better options out there?
  2. What are you all throwing your swim jigs on? I’m talking shallow cover bushes, pads, lay downs with braid.
  3. Dobyns champ 704 cb loads up nice when a fish bites. Can probably find a used one for less than $200. They also run sales all the time for dobyns.
  4. Had the toadface and it was a good rod for light to medium cover frogging. It’s not heavy enough if you fish really thick slop or mats. Sold it and purchased the 7’3XH Expride towards the end of last year but have not been able to fish it yet.
  5. Can’t wait to see this thing fill up with the jighead minnow 😁just kidding, but I’m curious if you’ll notice any shifts in baits with the recent ffs trend or if the usual baits will still dominate.
  6. Has anyone fished these two rods dude by side? I have the A model and it always has a trap tied on during the spring. Wanting to get another for chatterbaits. I know some of the B series rods are stiffer, but how about this one?
  7. I’ve seen this done with blade baits before to help with minimizing lost fish do to the fish getting more leverage with traditional hooks/split rings. Not sure if that’s what he was going for here though.
  8. I agree 100%. It’s dominating the game just like the A-rig did when it was introduced. It’s not like it’s a brand new technique, but FFS just made it that more powerful.
  9. All 10 anglers who finished in the top 10 at Toledo Bend threw the jighead minnow, Damiki rig, hover jiggle, mid stroll minnow, whatever you want to call it according to bassmaster top baits article. A few mixed in a jerkbait. The guys who failed to adapt were left behind for the most part.
  10. Take a look at Toledo bend at tell me the same thing 😅😁
  11. Gamma polyflex or McCoy mean green are my favorites.
  12. I really like the Stunna. Actually I’ve been liking them so much lately they’ve kind of taken the place of my 110s for the time being. Something about that slow sink in the winter time drives fish crazy. Loaded up on pretty much every color when Purefishing had the 50% off and BOGO deal 😂
  13. I rarely get bit on red in the lakes near me on Ohio yet somehow more red baits keep getting added to my collection…
  14. Still not interested in watching them throw crappie jigs on Toledo bend, even if they show the screen. Just my opinion.
  15. There is a new model that is a 7’2 medium. Non glass.
  16. Anyone own this rod in the B lineup? Can’t seem to find any reviews online. It’s listed as a moderate action. Is it soft like for reaction baits or stiff enough to also throw small jigs and worms with too?
  17. Anyone own the dobyns champion 794.5? I’ve heard it’s a good a-rig rod, but can it also handle 2-3oz glides and line-through swimbaits?
  18. Thanks! I ended up going with the premium blades. Hoping they’ll work okay for my needs! If not, now I know.

I used the online chat feature and told them I never received an email. I had a response and a link in less than 2 minutes. Good service for a change from TW!
  20. Anyone use their spinnerbait blades? I was wondering if I should buy the economy, premium, or regal option? I’m leaning towards the premium. I want decent quality, but I’m not going to be selling any baits.

Signed up, never got my email with the code…
  22. For those making their own spinnerbaits, what heads do you use?
  23. Looking to do a restock on my spinnerbait collection. What are some of your favorite brands? Do you prefer .32 or .35 diameter baits?
  24. Seems kind of gimmicky to me but who knows, maybe it will smash them.
  25. Hook isn’t good?
