  6. Micro saw this on Tackle Tour and alerted me: A Tragic Loss of a Great Friend by Fishgod82 » Tue Jun 09, 2009 4:49 am Gentlemen I'm deeply saddened to inform you that we have lost one of our best friends. Hector Sariol aka Lubina passed away in the early morning hours today. For those who knew Hector it goes without saying how big of a heart the man had. I've never met anyone with such a golden genuineness about them. Not many people took the time to truly find out who Hector really was. He was a great father, good husband, and tremendous friend. His wife Gloria and sons David and Eric will deeply miss him. Through the good times and the bad he persevered through it all. From growing up in Cuba and coming to the USA to become one of the top trauma surgeons in the world. Even with all he accomplished the things he loved the most were his family and everything about the great outdoors. There will not be a ceremony concerning Hector's passing as he did not wish to have one. If anyone would like me to relay condolences to the family I will gladly oblige. Hector, you will be missed my friend.
  7. I bought a bulk spool of Hybrid #15, 1 lb = 3600 yards. That's a little over two miles. I still have some left! Another time I purchased an assortment of line, different sizes and colors, plus some miscellaneous stuff. Everything I ordered was delivered promptly and without any issues. I'm now on their e-mail notification list and receive special offers on occasion. All good for me. 8-)
  8. No. I talked with Yo-Zuri some time ago and was told they have an arrangement with FISH307.com. This site carries or will order all Yo-Zuri products. 8-)

  12. Perhaps this observation is too simple to be useful, but I find the most important question is whether the fish are "looking up" and chasing baitfish or "looking down" and picking things off the bottom. My main pond has recently experienced a major algae bloom, specifically spirogyra (snot-grass). The water is a very cloudy green, the bottom is covered green and everything else appears green. Well, guess what? The bass are NOT looking for contrast, but seem to be most vulnerable to an "anything green" presentation. Right now the #1 bait is the GYCB Senko, Watermelon with Black Flakes. What does a Senko represent? Go figure. 8-)
  13. I keep a post by George Welcome in my "Favorites": Let's get technical, as there are in fact reasons, not just some lame holdover from days past that put the handles where they are. What will move the fish during retrieval is placed to the strong hand! A baitcast is designed to be used as a winch, so it is the reel that retrieves the fish. Hence if you are right handed the handle is in your right hand. A spinning reel is designed to pick up unloaded or loose line, not retrieve the fish. Hence it is the rod that does the retrieval, so it is the rod that is in your strong hand. If you are right handed then the pole goes to the right hand. George Welcome Sebastian Florida

  17. Hmm... Bobby has made this point before: Maybe the MegaStrike just adds the final touch. Your story seems pretty convincing to me! 8-)
  18. Yes, but it's no big deal. Next year you can throw the BPS reel away and buy a Shimano Citica or save a little more money and pick up a Curado. :
