  1. When I read these types of stories, it makes my blood boil. All I want to know is: "Was the perp shot for resisting arrest or for trying to escape?" No further explanation required. >
  2. roadwarrior replied to ernel's topic in Tacklemaking
Thanks David! The new article has replaced the old as a "Sticky" in the top half of the page. -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior Global moderator
  3. Hey Ronnie! Good to hear from you, too! -Kent
  4. Great advice! I would just add that the fish are either looking up for baitfish or down for crawdads, worms and bugs. So, fish hardbaits on one rig and soft baits on another. The fish generally have a preference on any given day. 8-)
  5. Excellent advice! That fish will be there or somewhere very close, it's just a matter of timing. 8-)
  6. George Welcome and his clients do well with Chug Bugs and Rat-L-Traps. Read through his website for some other tips: http://imaginationbassin.com/ 8-)

  9. Well now, it turns out Florida strain bass were initially stocked in the lake in 1979 and have been supplemented with additional fry every year since then. So, any suggestions on targeting these bass specifically?

  14. Hmm... Never heard that before. You're saying Ultra Soft had a greater tendency to twist than other lines? Makes no sense to me, I just don't see how that could be. Lines are twisted by retrieve on the spool. So, line twist is a characteristic associated with particular reels not line. I would think any line twist you experience to be common for all line brands other than braid. You got me...I don't know. Regarding Gamma, I like that line, too. Sunline Defier is another to consider if cost is of no concern. 8-)
  15. I have an open mind...I have a STX. :)

  22. SPEEDBEAD, Of all the guys helping with the Roadtrip, your effort was exceptional. Planing a dinner for 50 guys in Kentucky is a challenge when you have to make the haul from PA! 95% of your chicken was rated a dead solid TEN. I would like you as a cooking partner anytime, anywhere. -Kent
  23. To paraphrase Mattlures, "There is no playing the fish. Bring her to you RIGHT NOW, just as fast as you can." This is why the "right equipment" is so important. 8-)
  24. I'm fishing Cedar Creek this Saturday. Does anyone know this lake? Any comment would be appreciated. -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior
