  1. Ya'all might not be giving the Pop Tart quite enough credit. Paris creates most of her "press". I don't think it's coincidental that she just introduced a new fragrance for the holiday season. "Controversial" makes Ms. Hilton VERY marketable. Do any of you guys get paid a few HUNDRED THOUSAND dollars to show up at a party?
  2. Well, I hope that works out for you, but #8 is only 1lb stronger than #6 (13 vs. 11.9) and is less managable. Although I do have one spinning reel spooled with #8, I have a strong preference for #6.
  3. I would probably be leaning towards the one labeled "SHIMANO." 8-)
  4. Welcome aboard! Bass Resource is having our 3rd Annual Outing at Guntersville. You are invited, so I hope to "See you there!" http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1192161967
  5. Yes. The original is a little stiffer, more stealthy and a little stronger than Ultra Soft. I recently purchased a 1 lb spool of #15 for my jig and heavy crankbait rigs. On combinations that are used for lighter presentations and more repetative casting, I am using Ultra Soft #12.
  6. ;D ;D ;D ;D WOO-HOO! ;D ;D ;D ;D Just received my St.Croix Legend Elite EC70MHF. Man, she's a beauty! 8-)
  7. Yes, BPS does not carry Ultra Soft and will not special order it for you. I think you will be pleased with the original formula Hybrid, but you will notice initial coiling from being stored on the spool. In use, I think the memory is acceptable for most applications.
  8. Man, for me watching basketball is like watching the Washinton and Houston play baseball when both teams are twenty games out and the Pennant Race has already been decided! Paint is a lot more interesting, sometimes it changes shade as it dries. BTW, THE GAME this week is in Kansas City at Arrowhead Stadium: Missouri v. Kansas.
  9. Don't get in a hurry, rumor has it that Reed's may be getting another allotment to sell. BUT, if you see what you want, DON'T wait around!

BPS often has unadvertised, in-store specials. You just have to check every time you shop.
  11. Yep, 90% of our "big fish" turn out to be drum, too!
  12. Alot like you... In need of a double cheeseburger, an order of Biggie Fries and a chocolate malt! : Raul's posted a few pics of himself. 8-)
  13. You dig "chicks" around 40.
  14. Many (all?) Lucky Craft and Rapala lures have VMC hooks. Gamakatsu and Owner are great hooks, too. Unless you have a specific reason for customizing a lure, replace hooks with the same size the lure came with. You can match them up by sight at the store. Also, I find it MUCH easier to replace split rings rather than dealing with removal of hooks and replacement on the original rings. You can match them up by sight, too.
  15. Original formula Hybrid has a higher percentage of fluorocarbon in the mix which results in a refraction index very close to that of water. However, it is not pure fluoro, so it can be seen in the higher pound tests. #4 (.009" diameter) and #6 (.010") are very steatlhy and you may prefer the original formula in very clear water.
  16. Relax. Reed's is a quality outfit, they will take care of you. No worries.
  17. Although I have the GLX MBR844C, everyone that has both this and the BCR854 rave about the BCR. GMAN, where are you?
  18. MizzouRah! MizzouRah! MizzouRah! TIGERS! 8-)
  19. It happens a lot on the Tennessee river, but you can usually tell it's a cat about half-way through the fight. What's far more exciting/ disappointing is catching a monster buffalo. Buffalo run AND fight just like a smallmouth, except they don't jump. I've caught a few World Record Smallmouth that morphed into buffalo at the boat.
  20. ** MODERATOR NOTE ** Man, after awhile even the "fun posts" get dragged down and an argument ensues. This thread has had a good run, but it's time to move on... Closed.
  21. Hey, that's a great lil' Raul toy, but your wife isn't a BassResource.com member! It's okay among us guys to buy new toys, they don't have to be disguised as "the kid's". CAUTION: Operation by adults only. Placing fingers in blades may result in serious injury. :
