So if she weren't so ugly she'd be pretty?- Selecting rods. $$ vs need.
I don't think better gear necessarily equates to more or bigger bass, but for some it is just more enjoyable. My observation is totally different. Guys are often referred to as "enthusiasts". They enjoy collecting and playing with their toys as much as catching fish. Every hobby is like this.- I Don't Care!
I asked Hank Parker if he would fish a structure where his electronics did not show baitfish or predators. His answer was yes, there may still be something down there that your sonar picture looks like a rock or limb. If it is a promising spot, Hank says go for it!- Is it best to bait minnow traps with the bait concealed inside a bait cage/bag or just tossed in there?
A box of saltines has four packages. Crush one pack of the crackers, open and pour them into the trap (cage). Go away for an hour and when you come back your trap will be full. If not, move your trap somewhere else. An ideal spot is generally the mouth of a small creek that empties into a stream or cove.- Is it best to bait minnow traps with the bait concealed inside a bait cage/bag or just tossed in there?
Crumble a pack of crackers in the trap. That's all.- Keeping track of bass caught

Oops...Sorry, me too.- Why am I losing my leader when I get snagged....
Still don't get it...Whether it's a monster like that muskie or a 6 lb smallmouth we are still considering pressure on the rod and stress on the line. To some extent it's like fishing for Line World Records. Making adjustments away from ideal is confusing for me.- Why am I losing my leader when I get snagged....
Well, this old dog can still learn new tricks and I know I am hearing from The Master. My drag is set to what I consider perfect and I NEVER make any adjustment during the fight. Calibrated that is 2 lbs on spinning tackle and light line; just under 3 lbs for baitcasting gear. Now educate me.- Why am I losing my leader when I get snagged....
Why do have your drag set tighter for the hook-set?- Guaranteed To Catch Bass
The "Guarantee" is EXACTLY as described. If it doesn't work your way, try mine.- Silent squarebills and wakebaits
