  1. Had some luck at Grove on Senkos and a black jig/ blue Rage Tail Craw.
  2. Well, I think it just varies. Some days moving lures are the ticket, but most days a slower presentation is a better option. My best day ever was on a BassResource Roadtrip at Pickwick during massive flooding...18" of rain! My partner caught most of his on a RES which had just come to market. My 78 fish total was almost exclusively caught on a Sworming Hornet/ LFT Live Magic Shad.
  3. I'm not dissing FL, I recently caught my PB on ToHo (12.4). However, there has never been a reported bass that approaches a World Record. https://www.gameandfishmag.com/editorial/10-largest-smallmouth-bass-world-records/190547

  5. #1 suggestion...Owner J-Rig. This (Rage Tail Structure Bug) has been my most productive bait for the past three years!
  6. There might be another record largemouth in California, but definitely NOT in Florida. Your best chance for a World Record is a smallmouth from the Tennessee River below Pickwick Dam.
  7. I like the salt, but my biggest issue is the gear. I just hate the big tackle. Trolling for monsters is a one day deal for me. My last fish was a 75lb jack which just kicked my tail. The Yellowfin tuna (125) was cool, but I am done with that. My favorite (PB) was 12.4 largemouth at ToHo in January, this year.
  8. Well, the big fish I am aware of was I1,98. Personally my best has been 8.9. However, I have caught a number over 5 lbs. The problem is numbers. Most of my trips are zeros....Big fish or no fish.
  9. My uncle https://www.legacy.com/obituaries/name/clyde-bevis-obituary?pid=177526608
  10. Weightless: spinning tackle Weighted: baitcasting
  11. Welcome aboard!
  12. The best? Give Tatsu #12 a try.
  13. Well, I don't eat bass, but I hate spots as much as drum, white bass and gar. I (we) keep them all and give them to bank fishermen.
  14. 99% is just an accident. High sticking is probably #2.
