  1. When Ray Scott designed a rod for this reel I bought one of the first combinations directly from him. It was a piece of junk and subsequently recalled. ghoti has the reel now. I would be interested in hearing his take after he has worked on it a bit.
  2. No doubt, Peyton is a warrior.

  4. Might have just snagged her!
  5. #4 Yo-Zuri Hybrid ~ 8.5 lb breaking strength
  6. If it's an Avid AVC68MXF this is THE PERFECT all-around rod. My suggestion is both soft plastics and jigs.

  10. These three: Baby Rage Craw, Rage Craw and Lobster.
  11. Depth will be determined by speed. Forget about the Rat-L-Trap. Although I have several different set-ups, my most productive Alabama Rig has LFT Live Magic Shad on the outside arms (weightless) and a Johnson Silver Minnow in the middle. Best striper was 38 lbs, most are +/- 20lbs. http://www.bassresource.com/fishing_lures/DHC7-761-CAHFS-primmus-review.html
  12. Big minnows are VERY effective. I fish them on a split shot rig using Gamakatsu #6 Octopus Circle Hooks. On the Tennessee River we need to hook them in the mouth (lower jaw through upper jaw) to keep the minnow from drowning. The small hook keeps them alive and active much longer than using bigger hooks. DO NOT be frugal with your bait, the minnow MUST be fresh and frisky.
  13. Nice fish!
