Not always. I fish Shimano, St. Croix, Yo-Zuri, GYCB, Megabass, Lucky Craft and Kietech just to name a few non-sponsored brands. However, I was using MegaStike long before I joined BassResource in 2004. I think the "goo" is a GREAT product!

And then there is compromise or the best of both worlds! Most of my rods are 7' or longer, but I have better control with jerkbaits on a shorter rod. My dedicated rod is a St. Croix Avid AVC66MF with a soft tip.
