Listen To Music While Fishin?
Really? How alert do you think you need to be? I think relaxed is a better concept. I'm just fishing for fun.

Finesse Jigging
Hybrid #6 has a breaking strength of 11.9 lbs. You won't like it for ripping lipless cranks through grass, frogs out of pads, flipping, jigging spoons or heavy lures. For most other techniques, the thinner line will be an advantage.

Gaints Vs Patriots
Both teams match up favorably this year, but the Giants win in 2007 was an upset of biblical proportions. New England was on track to run the table while New York barely sneaked into the playoffs. The Giants were never favored in the post-season. I'm nearly as excited about the game as I am to watch Madonna's half-time show! Another Thrilla in Manila!

Finesse Jigging
I fish #6 Yo-Zuri Hybrid on spinning tackle. The only issue is getting hung up while floating down the Tennessee River. I go through a lot of jigs...

Max Drag On Reels
My drag is generally set at 2-3lbs, but never more than 4 lbs.

Mr. Clean Magic Eraser
Well, I have always felt the same, but after removing a decade worth of grime, I'm actually shocked by the results. I also cleaned and waxed all of my rods and sent two reels off to Delaware Valley Tackle for cleaning and supertuning. Seriously, it's like buying brand new equipment! http://www.delawarevalleytackle.com/

Gaints Vs Patriots
Are you ready to rumble? This should be a great Super Bowl. Who do you like, Gisele's husband or Peyton's little brother? Let the games begin! :respect-059: :respect-059:

Rod Specs For Various Techniques?
I compromise on the jerkbait rod. My main rod is the Avid AVC66MF which has a soft tip. A second rod is the new Pinnacle Perfecta DHC5-701CAMH: DHC5-701CAMH Jerkbait, Fluke, Senko, Small Casting Jigs - Made for working jerkbaits, “teaser” soft plastics, Senko-type worms and smaller jigs. Offers sensitivity, plus hook-setting and fish-fighting power. For small, light lures (Pointer 78 or X-Rap XR-06 & 08) the AVC70MM is the ticket.

Trophy Smallmouth Or Largemouth?
I put a lot of guys on 6lbs+ last year, but 7 is VERY special. My partner caught a 10 in 2004 which I netted and weighed. A couple of years ago, i had a bigger fish up to the boat twice. The World Record lives in the Tennessee River. http://www.bassresou...uth_record.html http://forums.basspro.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=2;t=026926

Woo-Hoo! The cork looks brand new. Are you suppose to apply a sealant after cleaning?

Rod Specs For Various Techniques?
Maybe this will help: http://www.bassresou...-%C2%A0defined/ For enthusiasts, technique specific gear is fun to collect. However, three rigs cover all the basics: #1 6 1/2' or 7' MH baitcaster for jigs, some soft plastics and spinnerbaits #2 6 1/2' or 7' MM baitcaster for treble hook lures #3 7' MF spinning rod for lighter lures and a variety of techniques

Warrantee Or No Warrantee
Geez... Most "franchise" equipment is exchanged over-the-counter, no questions asked. Manufactures like Shimano, St. Croix and G.Loomis have both a "defects" and "accident" policy. I like that. No warranty? No business from me.

Yep, I liked the smoothess of this line, but the blue doesn't match up very well with forest green!

Braid Vs Yo-Zuri Hybrid Vs Fluoro
http://www.yo-zuri.com/# YO-ZURI HYBRID™ Finally A Line That Makes A Difference! Our goal of developing a new, revolutionary, fishing line was lofty — make a line that was stronger, more abrasion resistant, more sensitive and more durable than any nylon lines on the market, and make it affordable. When we figured out how to extrude nylon and fluorocarbon, under extremely precise tolerances — into a complex, molecularly bonded fishing line — we knew we had something special. Hybrid is the first and only fishing line that molecularly bonds nylon and fluorocarbon during extrusion. The result is a strong, dense new material that we call Hybrid. Hybrid takes advantage of the awesome abrasion resistance and sensitivity of fluorocarbon, while utilizing the flexibility and stretch of nylon. The result will open your eyes to a new level of fishing line performance. Blue(BU) Smoke(SP) Camo Green(GR) Low-Vis(CL) Pink(PK) WHY IS YO-ZURI HYBRID™ BETTER THAN OTHER FISHING LINES? •Strength : Because of the blend of nylon and fluorocarbon our line breaks at a much higher test than listed (see chart). •Stretch : Hybrid has a lower stretch because of the addition of fluorocarbon. The nylon allows for cast ability. This gives Hybrid more hook setting power. •Sensitivity : The fluorocarbon blend transfers activity or “feeling” much faster than regular fishing lines. This increased transmission speed allows an angler to feel and react to more bites. •Wet Strength : Hybrid doesn't absorb water and as a result retains 100% of its dry knot and tensile strength. Regular fishing lines can absorb water which can weaken line up to 30%! •UV Resistance : Hybrid's fluorocarbon qualities allow it to resist UV light which can weaken line and shorten its durability. Hybrid stays stronger, longer. This Hybrid durability allows the line to last four to five times longer than regular fishing lines. •Casting Distance : Hybrid's slick finish allows it to easily slide through the guides causing little resistance during the cast and increases distance. The nylon qualities of Hybrid allow it to be softer and more supple line for distance casting. •Low Visibility : Hybrid's blend of fluorocarbon and nylon allows it to have lower light refractory which means less visibility underwater. •Abrasion Resistance : The hard, smooth outer feel created by the blend of fluorocarbon and nylon of Hybrid helps resist abrasion from rocks, wrecks, snags, or sharp toothed fish. #4 0.235 0.009 8.5 — — — • • • • #6 0.263 0.010 11.9 — — — • • • • #8 0.283 0.011 12.0 — — — • • • • #10 0.308 0.012 16.5 — — — • • • • #12 0.338 0.013 19.5 — — — • • • • #15 0.405 0.016 21.5 — — — • • • • #20 0.438 0.017 26.0 — — — • • • •

Braid Vs Yo-Zuri Hybrid Vs Fluoro
For the past year or so I have been experimenting with a number of different lines in addition to my standard Hybrid (#4 & #6 for spinning tackle, #12 for baitcasting). The brands include Tatsu (fantastic, but too expensive); InvizX, AbrazX, Izorline, P-line and Sunline Super Natural. The Izorline is a great one, very manageble. The Super Natural is a great monofilament which i have decided to use exclusively on my jerkbait rig. Otherwise, I'm sticking with Yo-Zuri for all the rest except my jig rig which is spooled with #50 Fireline Braid. I will probably buy the Samurai going forward based on BR member reviews.

Braid Vs Yo-Zuri Hybrid Vs Fluoro
I hate braid, but I use it on my jig rig. Braided line has significantly improved my jig fishing. If you do not have dedicated equipment, Yo-Yuri Hybrid is a much better choice for all-around use.
