Rage Tail Grub
Standard rigging on a 1/4 or 3/8 oz jighead. I don't think the color is particularly important, so just pick your favorite. What is important is line diameter. I use both Yo-Zuri Hybrid #4 and #6. In clear water use "green". For stained water "purple smoke" blends best.

Alabama Rig
Spend some time looking around the website, especially in the "Tackle" section. We have several A Rig threads running. This thread is closed. -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior Global Moderator

Help Me Decide, Sahara, Syemetre, Or The Diawa Exceler
Well, let me be more specific: I am recommending the CI4 which has many of the features previously available ONLY with the Stella series. I have the Symetre SY500FJ on an ultra light rig, a Stella 1000FA for a medium light rig and two Stella 2500 FD & FE. So, I'm not really comparing apples to apples, but I REALLY like the CI4 at its pricing point!

Help Me Decide, Sahara, Syemetre, Or The Diawa Exceler
I think you will be happy with the Symetre, but if you can afford to step up to the Stradic, I think you will like it even more!

Whoo-Hoo! Broncos Rule!
Hmm... John Elway is one of the Elite Quarterbacks of all time. I moved to Denver the same year John joined the Broncos. We lived in the same area, belonged to the same golf club and interacted in youth sports. He has always been a gentleman and astute businessman. Elway is respected by his peers and, of course, his many fans. His accomplishements as a professional football player are epic. Class Act? I think so.

What Is The Best Hooks For Cranks And Treble Baits?
Katsuage is the best hook I have ever used: http://www.megabassusa.com/products/katsuage-out-barb-hooks However, VMC are great, easy to find, inexpensive and are marketed in a variety pack. Since you are replacing a lot of hooks, the VMC is probably your best bet.

Opportunist Or Locationist?
Well, although I fish some different rivers and lakes occasionally, for the most part it has been the same-o-same-o for more than a decade. I know where fish have been and that those spots are ALWAYS key locations. However, when the fish aren't there, move on to the next prime spot. With regard to the Tennessee River specifically, smallmouth will sometimes be found anywhere there is a hard bottom. There is a lot of river that meets this criteria!

Alabama Rig
Listen up boys... Whether the Alabama Rig is banned from tournaments or not, if you are a recreational fisherman, you HAVE TO TRY THIS RIG. The Floating Rapala was unique when it was introduced, the Senko still is...The Alabama Rig dwarfs anything that has ever been invented.

Recommendations For Tn Smallmouth?
Speedy is my best friend and fishing partner. He is the only man I know who has landed a 10lb smallmouth. I netted and weighed the fish in November, 2004. The monster was caught on the Tennessee River below Pickwick Dam. http://www.smallmouthandstripers.com/
