  7. I'm not questioning the story, just wanted to hear more about the fish. Thanks for responding, I have never fished that section of the river. Do you know if the tailwaters their are "generally" productive? It seems like most smallmouth reports are all about Pickwick below the Wilson Dam or below the Pickwick Dam. I'm up for trying something new if you think it's worth the travel time.
  8. Welcome aboard! I hope you can join us for the Roadtrip at Guntersville in April. -Kent
  9. Man, that will be a great addition for your trophy room!

  11. Take a minute and read Don's article on the Home Page or right here: http://www.bassresource.com/fish-fishing/losing-weight.html
  12. Pretty silly, huh? I only buy lures when they are for sale.
  13. Hmm... Most guy's big fish presentation. I rarely fish a jig unless I'm fishing for big bass, but I never fish for anything else!
  14. I'm in the back, he has to get the net! :respect-059:
  15. Thank you! -Kent
  16. The key is balance, not absolute weight. If your reel balances the rod, the rig will "feel" almost weightless.
  17. Welcome aboard! Do you have a link for the story on the 12 lb smallmouth? I have never heard about it, but would like to hear more. -Kent
  18. I fish GMAN and NorthStar jigs. For trailers I am a big fan of Rage Tail Baby Craws, Craws and Lobsters. Rigging is through the first joint of the tail then up through the body at the bend in the hook. The Craw should stand up with claws in fighting position.
