  3. Any idea of who makes BPS fluoro?
  4. Well, it's only been a few weeks, but... This is the finest line I have ever fished! We'll have to wait and see how it holds up over time. The big test will be how it performs on the Tennessee River. So...the jury is still out.
  5. The Yo-Zuri you have on the reel can be the backing. Cast something out in the grass, then walk to it while releasing line. Now you have two cast links. Cut if off there and add the braid. I have been experimenting with Power Pro 50/12. I'm not going to recommend the brand. Try Fireline, Dodgeguy swears by it: http://www.***.com/Berkley_Fireline_Braid/descpage-BFBR.html Another that gets rave reviews is Samurai: http://www.tackledirect.com/daiwa-300yds-samurai-braided-line.html I have the PP on a jig rig with no leader and a weighted soft plastics outfit with a fluorocarbon leader. After about five months of experimentation, I don't notice a difference. Braid has dramatically improved my jig fishing, not so much with weighted soft plastics. I will not be using braid for any other presentations or on any more rigs. I hate braid. 8-)
  6. That's crazy. Nice catch! 8-)
  7. Wow! Great pic,too! 8-)
  8. I never thought it made a difference, but Big O says it does. He catches more big fish than I do. Now I always use black. 8-)
  9. I can honestly say that I did not expect that one. I was kidding... I listen to both kinds of music, Country and Western! 8-)
  10. InvizX is around $20, but is occasionally on sale. #8 has a diameter of .009, the same as Yo-Zuri Hybrid #4. The line is supple yet strong. For twice the money, Seaguar Tatsu may be the ultimate fluorocarbon. I have been fishing #12 on a baitcaster for the past few weeks...sweet! 8-)
  11. Very well phrased and the last thread was NOT your fault. Anyhow, my theory is that the baits got overheated in transit and partially melted. 8-)

  13. Man...dem be sum numbers! You might have a "slight" lead in most categories, but we're tied in fish over 10 lbs! ;D ;D ;D ;D
  14. That's a winner! Pick up a couple of 200s, too. -Kent
  15. This might help: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1141187546 This is something to consider as you build your collection over time: Technique specific rods are for "enthusiasts". Almost all your fishing can be done with just one rod. Beyond that, you only "need" three rods: Spinning: 6 1/2' or 7', M or MH, Fast Action (soft plastics and light lures) Baitcasting: MH or H, Fast Action (jigs, spinnerbaits, buzzbaits and all single hooks) Baitcasting: MH, Moderate Action (all treble hook lures) 8-)

  21. Take a look at the AVC68MXF, I think you will like it better for soft plastics. 8-)
  22. Welcome aboard! 8-)
