  1. Primary rig: St. Croix Avid AVC70MM/ Shimano Metanium/ #12 Yo-Zuri Hybrid Deep divers: Lamiglas SR705R/ CTE200GT/ #12 Hybrid
  2. The line is #15 (.013" diameter); spooled on a CH50MG/ Dobyns 683C. For the most part, I have been fishing a Sworming Hornet/ LFT Live Magic Shad on this set-up. However, 3/8 oz jigs, dropshot, shakey head or any soft plastic would be fine. The line has virtually no memory so far. Strong, sensitive and tough are other attributes. I don't notice much stretch and knots are not an issue. I think you might notice that the Tatsu seems exceptionally smooth. This might be the result of highly calibrated, uniform extrusion. http://www.***.com/Seaguar_Tatsu_Fluorocarbon_Line/descpage-STFL.html -Kent 8-)
  3. Welcome aboard! Nice fish, too! 8-)
  4. There is actually good reason for the way fishing equipment is designed and it's not just "old school": (Note: George Welcome's explanation) http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1187794805
  5. I doubt it, but here 's another offer: If you have a boat or a friend with one, I'll meet you below the Pickwick Dam sometime in October or November and put on a clinic for anyone interested in catching trophy smallmouth. Let me know who cares and we will set a date. 8-)
  6. Ah...Just more propaganda...nothin' but enviro-hype. The story is old and dead. The long-term impact is ZERO.
  7. Geez... All ready for the game and it starts at 9:15, way past my bedtime! How's that work? Final play ~ 1:15 CDT. Man...that sucks! >

  13. I have caught two big spots (~5 lbs). One was caught at Lake Quachita in Arkansas; the other was on the Tennessee River. No doubt, they are fighters! 8-)
  14. Spots tend to displace largemouth and smallmouth bass, entirely repopulating many bodies of water they infest. The species is very prolific, tends to be much smaller than its cousins and is generally considered a pest. 8-)
