I nam impressed with Seaguar InvizX #8 (.009" diameter). The line is strong, tough and limp. I think it is the perfect fluoro for spinning tackle. 8-)

Well, "averages" mean nothing. Fishing in certain regions and on particular bodies of water produces big fish. Other water produces numbers and some result in both! All of your friends here at BassResource.com are trying to do is help improve your chances and enjoyment. 8-)

WAY too heavy. The best fluorocarbon for spinning reels is Seaguar Inviz, 8 lb test. 8-)

You won't know until you see one. I suspect after 17 years of development, it won't look "cheap". My guess is this line of rods will set a new standard by which all others will be judged. :

The main reason is that most of us use light line on spinning tackle. Heavy line allows us to retrieve more jigs that would otherwise be lost; the ability to horse bass out of cover and helps when we need to turn a fish. 8-)

Detail and color are for us! Actually, bass can see most of the frog, so color might come into play. Still, "detail" is an unlikely attribute as far as the fish is concerned. 8-)

Depends on your budget, but here ya go: Rod: G. Loomis GLX MBR844C or BCR854 Reel: Curado 200E7 Line: Braid Jig: 3/4 or 1 oz GMAN Mop jig Trailer: Rage Tail Lobster Attractant: JJ's Magic or MegaStrike (I believe the attractant holds the bite a little longer) I HATE braid, but it has dramatically improved my jig fishing. I am using a direct tie, no leader. When you detect a bite, lower the tip of your rod as you reel down quickly! Snap your wrist to raise the rod tip without moving your hands relative to your body. This allows all the energy to be transferred by the rod. 8-)

Although I don't think it makes that much difference, these are my recommendations for Yo-Zuri Hybrid: Green: gin clear water, it blends perfectly Smoke or Purple Smoke: stained water White is just "okay" in any water. I use it on silver reels just because it looks cool! 8-)

One more suggestion: Swarming Hornet with a 3 1/2" LFT Live Magic Shad. Cast and let the lure fall to the bottom. Retrieve by reeling fast, then allowing the lure to sink on slack line. The blade lifts the bait, DO NOT lift it with your rod. The strike is always on the fall and you may not feel it. When you begin to reel, if you detect ANYTHING, set the hook! 8-)
