  1. This might help: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1141187546 This is something to consider as you build your collection over time: Technique specific rods are for "enthusiasts". Almost all your fishing can be done with just one rod. Beyond that, you only "need" three rods: Spinning: 6 1/2' or 7', M or MH, Fast Action (soft plastics and light lures) Baitcasting: MH or H, Fast Action (jigs, spinnerbaits, buzzbaits and all single hooks) Baitcasting: MH, Moderate Action (all treble hook lures)
  2. Scroll back through the last twenty or thirty pages of this section and you will see many threads on the topic. I think you will find the discussions helpful. 8-)
  3. There is no follow-up bait for a jig...Simply recast. 8-)
  4. A couple of posts have been deleted...totally inappropriate. I can take the ribbing, but the subject matter didn't work. Back to the World Cup!
  5. Yeah, I have been on a couple of trips with Big O, but haven't actually had the privilege of fishing with him. You might be surprised, he get's "lucky" a lot! ;D ;D ;D
  6. Hmm... Big O approves, game changer for me. :
  7. Well, I like the FI, but would suggest putting off the purchase until you save another $50 and buy the CI4. 8-)
  8. I'm having great luck right now with Mattlures Baby Bass, Bandit 200 and 3/8 oz GMAN jig/ Rage Tail Baby Craw. 8-)
  9. Hmm... I'm pretty happy with both JJ's Magic and MegaStrike. The investment isn't much, I think you might give them a try. I'm not saying either product is actually an "attractant", but I do think fish will hold your bait a bit longer than one without the scent. 8-)
  10. I think he means I'm not quite as tall or broad in the shoulders as Howie Long! :
  11. Cumberland River? Ike slayed the smallies in downtown Nashville! http://www.versus.com/shows/city-limits-fishing-with-mike-iaconelli/ 8-)
  12. If you can find a deal on our Flea Market or somewhere else on the internet, Avid AVC70MM would be my recommendation. 8-)
  13. Display the reel, it's "fishing days" are over.

  15. I think the BCR854 and MBR844C are very comparable. I'm not really sure which I like better! On another note, the MBR842C may be my favorite rod. Mine is matched up with a Core 50MG7. This rig is simply a pleasure to fish. As Bronzefly said, this rod covers a lot of ground. 8-)
  16. Great news!
  17. Thanks! I WILL BUY Fireline Braid next time on your recommendation...Promise! 65/16? 8-)

  23. GMAN, I'll be your guinea pig. Make me a dozen 3/4 oz Mop Jigs (painted football heads) with a 6/0 EWG hook, green pumpkin skirt, wire tie. When you determine the cost, I'll send you the money via PayPal. -Kent
