I'm very happy with the Curado 200E7. I consider this reel the "Best Buy" in the Shimano baitcasting line-up. If you are looking for a spinning reel, I think the CI4 is a "Best Buy", too! 8-)

I have both and prefer the feel (size) of the 50MG7. p.s. If anyone would like to swap a 50 for my 100, let me know. My reel is better than 10/10 both cosmetically and mechanically. It was professionally serviced this spring, "just because", but it is basically brand new! 8-)

Agreed...You will not miss a "bite", but you might be getting bumped. The bump is light, the bite is not. Set the hook on the bite, not the bump. The issue I had, which Matt personally addressed, was losing fish during the fight. You don't "play" a bass, you reel it in! It is either pulling drag or moving your way. 8-)
