I can't describe it any better than you or Catt. The concept is "different", just a feel that is different. My strong suit is soft plastics and I would have to differ with Catt, the bite is not the same. I spent two years working jigs almost exclusively (rather than a Senko) before I "got it". 8-)

Well, a few weeks ago I fished a Fuego that .gohti had super tuned...sweet! I have a super tuned Scorpion 1000...sweet! On the other hand, just a standard cleaning and lube makes a great reel better. From the stand point of just "fishing", you will not notice much difference unless you are already casting with no brakes on and the cast control open. I'm not that good! 8-)

If there is any fishing equipment that screams PERSONAL PREFERENCE, this is it. I have a Dobyns Champion 683C (split grip) matched up with a CH50MG...sweet! However, I will never own another. I just prefer a full grip and cork. 8-)

No, the bait is designed to be fished with a 1/4 oz bullet weight. The weight transfers energy to the tail. The action is more subtle than some other small swimbaits, but very effective. 8-)

My PB largemouth was fooled by a Norman Fat Boy, redear pattern. 8-)

Mostly I'm saying they use inferior components, quality control is poor and performance uncertain. I'm all about "tried and true" from companies with reputations built over time. 8-)

Geez...You're beating this horse to death. Third post, same topic? The response from me is still the same: "I REALLY don't care what brand you buy, but save your money until you find $100 MSRP on sale for $50-$75. The cheaper reels are NOT a bargain."

That was 4 or 5 years ago. I experimented extensively and came to the conclusion the red hooks were nothing more than a marketing ploy. I noticed ABSOLUTELY no difference. 8-)

Tie a palomar knot with a long tag end. Run the tag end back through the top of the hook's eye, and gently pull on the tag so the knot rotates a bit. 100% effective! 8-)
