  3. "I fish the Great Lakes region and it's my absolute favorite. That being said, the region is awesome for numbers and trophy sized smallmouth..." The ONLY region to consider for the smallmouth trip of a lifetime. And on top of that, it keeps getting better! ;D ;D
  4. Maybe this will help you get started: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1141187546 8-)
  5. Under Armour, Cabela's Guidewear, stocking cap and Sorel boots. I wear cotton gloves when we motor, but not fishing. Over the top a tight fitting waist coat; uninsulated hunting parka over that. Hand warmers in the coat pockets. If that's not enough, it's too cold to fish! 8-)
  6. Just flipped on the game. Back-to-back losses and now forfeiting the last game? :-?
  7. Maybe someone that has a Midas will comment, but I don't recall anyone touting this reel. The Citica on the other hand is well know and highly recommended. 8-)
  8. Geez...The "fishing report" kinda tickled me as I read it. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1262521710 :
  9. Seriously, I hope it works out for you. -Kent
  10. "Show me some 10's and the state or region makes the list of possibilities. Right now it's Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, the Carolinas and I'll concede to Fourbizz, California." My fishing partner caught a 10 lb smallmouth on November 21, 1994. I netted and weighed the fish. Do you know anyone that has ever seen a double digit smallie in the Great Lakes region?

  15. Geez...The video is a Bassmasters promotional, nothing more, nothing less. I thought it was entertaining. 8-)
  16. Your requirements are too broad, but for an all-around rod I would suggest 7' Medium Heavy Power/ Fast Action. The G. Loomis MBR843C is an example. Good luck! 8-)
  17. Send a PM to GMAN, he will point you in the right direction.
  18. The Evolution jig is just what you are looking for: http://www.megastrikefishingproducts.com/shop/cart.php?target=category&category_id=110 GMAN jigs are another brand I fish. 8-)
  19. Hmm.... Excellent observation and I agree 100% 8-)
  20. P-Line, Gamma and Yo-Zuri are options you should consider. All three are extremely strong and highly abrasion resistant. 8-)
  21. Hey steezy! Now I have to get another Core 50MG when I buy the BCR893. I put the reel on the MBR842C and they are mated for life! Thanks for the suggestion. -Kent 8-)
  22. Perfect! Otherwise, Wayne P. is dead on! 8-)
  23. Sixteen-Twenty also known as a Duncan or Pitzen Knot: http://206.210.94.83/collaterals/pdf/fhf_knot_sixteen_twenty.pdf 8-)
