  1. Hmm... They are catering at the Roadtrip! Coincidence! ;D ;D ;D
  2. Throw whatever you have away and buy: Lucky Craft Pointer 100, Baby Bass. Rapala X-Rap(XR08) Glass Ghost (white) Rapala Husky Jerk (HJ10) Chrome Blue /Orange Perfect in every way. 8-)
  3. I think you will like the CH50MG just fine. The feel and performance seem very comparable to me. 8-)
  4. No, the main event for me was Mike Whitten demonstrating the Sworming Hornet. 8-)
  5. Actually, there are standards. Raul described the procedure and measurements using a white disc. However, I do not recall the details. To me "clear" is gin clear. Bull Shoals or Beaver Lake near either of the dams are good examples. Maybe being able to see a 1/2 oz white jig at 15' - 20' is more specific. 8-)
  6. That's a big'un! Where are you fishing? 8-)
  7. Welcome aboard! 8-)
  8. I have fished with Keri. She can teach both of us a thing or two! Last year at Kentucky Lake she tied on her "secret weapon" late in the day and out-fished me about 5:1. 8-)
  9. Check your local store's seminar and demonstration schedule. If I fish on Saturday, I usually spend most of Sunday at the Memphis BPS. Bill Dance and a number of local pros, guides and tournament fishermen spend a lot of time in the store during the sale. 8-)
  10. Welcome aboard! 8-)
  11. The deal is based on what you buy, not what you bring in for trade. 8-)
  12. His "whine" is not boxed, but his boxed "wine" is pretty darn good when it's your only option! ;D ;D ;D
  13. That's great! I hope it works out for you. -Kent
  14. Welcome aboard! 8-)
  15. Line diameters are specified online and on the spool or box. Yo-Zuri Hybrid for example is .010" for #6, .013" for #12. Raul wrote "average" because line diameter is not perfectly uniform. http://www.andemonofilament.com/specifications.htm 8-)
  16. Exactly... Since the game "didn't matter", I wonder when Colts season ticket holders will receive their refunds? :
  17. We don't have yellow perch in Pickwick. It might have been a sauger, they're in the same family. When the TVA shuts the flood gates, fishing will pick up. However, the lake is very tough in winter. Your best bet is fishing the river below the dam. Maybe we can get together and I'll show you around. -Kent 8-)
  18. Welcome aboard! 8-)
  19. The trade-in value is determined by the cost of the new reel purchased. For the past couple of years, Shimano has not participated in the exchange. 8-)
  20. Wayne, Fish the rod a bunch before May 2. If you don't like it for any reason, I know someone who will pay your full cost in cash with no shipping fee. :
  21. GMAN, The Roadtrip starts with sign-up, greetings and probably a little wine & cheese Sunday afternoon/ evening (May 2) and concludes Thursday night. Check-out is Friday morning, May 7. There is no "scheduled" weekend fishing. The registration fee covers a badge, goodie bag, t-shirts and the banquet Wednesday night. This fee will barely cover costs or may not! However, if you fish the weekend, May 1 & 2, you are welcome to the afternoon gathering at no cost. -Kent p.s. Last year's wine and cheese party was sponsored by just a few of us, not reimbursed by BassResource. Everyone is encouraged to contribute a bottle of wine, but that is NOT obligatory.
  22. More evidence of global warming? :-?
  23. SJR783S or SJR843S These are the perfect in every way! 8-)
