  1. I wish I had a local shop to support
  2. I have a couple of Cashion Icons. The blanks are more sensitive than the Dobyns Champions, so the Fury isn’t even in the same league. Nice rods if you don’t mind the fat wraps around the guides. Cashion’s warranty and customer service is top notch. Had a tip break on my crankbait rod and they shipped me out a new one once I emailed them some pictures of the breakage.
  3. I doubt you’ll be able to get 40 with a 50hp. My max speed with GPS is 33 with a 60hp on my pt175.
  4. I throw Crankbaits every time I go fishing. I have 4 Crankbait setups with me at all times on the boat.
  5. I have the Zillion HD on my Steez and it makes a really nice combo.
  6. Another vote for the Power Pitch. Best Jig rod I’ve ever used. Haven’t tried it with frogs but have heard it’s great.
  7. I haven’t either. Have them on my Steez and on my elite M/MH
  8. I’m glad they went back to split grips on the new Tatula rods. I preferred the original Tatula over the last model.
  9. The Bass Raider would be my choice, it will be the most stable to stand up in since it is 48 inch’s wide. I fished out of a pond prowler for years and it did well for me.
  10. I would but I recently moved and my fishing gear is still in storage.
  11. I got my replacement knobs from the Tackle Trap
  12. I have a 8.1 on a Steez Power Pitch . I use it for pitching 3/8 and 1/2 ounce jigs and absolutely love it. I recently bought a 7.1 and plan on throwing cranks with it. I don’t like the knobs that come on them so I changed them out to the Zillion SV knobs.
  13. I’ve been doing it this way for over 30 years and it feels natural to me. It would be silly to think about changing it now.
  14. Take a look at the Kistler Helium.
  15. I’m mostly Daiwa although I have a couple Shimano’s. I prefer Daiwa’s braking system and the way they feel in my hand.
  16. Oh ok. I thought you meant reels that ship from Japan on Amazon US. They’re still available from the same seller on there, but the prices have went up. I haven’t looked at Amazon Japan in a while.
  17. I’m still seeing them, price is up from last week though
  18. Never fished tournaments and never will. Fishing can be stressful enough some days and I don’t need the extra stress of competition. Plus I like being alone on the water whenever I can help it.
  19. You get what you pay for with FC. I’ve been using P-Line Tactical and Daiwa Samurai for the past 5 years, I’ve never had a knot fail or any mystery break offs. No conditioner is needed either.
  20. Yes definitely. This winter has been way colder than usual around here and I’m over it. I absolutely despise wintertime and I’m itching for it to warm up so I can do some fishing.
  21. Oh I know that. My Tracker PT 175 has a wooden deck
  22. The new Tracker Savage has an aluminum deck
  23. Depends on size in Virginia. My 17 footer is 36$ for 3 years
