Im a elcheapo most of my rods and reels were free,trades, or bargain bin stuff...only thing i dont skimp on is fresh line yo zuri and bi game.BTW my 5$ abu reels work fine on my 2$ falcon all from yard sales.i aint rich but i can afford $200 reels and rods ,BUT being a fisherman so long i have found my ideal tools and im happy and succesful thats all that matters to me anyhow

I had them before all i can say is they hang up on anything really quick .i didnt see any benefit using them for anything i do.im sure they will do something good but im ok for now.im surprised rods with micro guides aint marked up 30$ more bucks then regular rods since like lures you gotta have what won a tourney that week.

I have 250$ just in hooks so 250 would be a great start ...in reality 250$in lures even less is all ya need ill even say 100$ if i know what i know now that way i wouldnt be moving 500 lbs of plastics and 50 lbs of hardbaits in my garage all the time.

I fished from shore for 16 yrs farm ponds and streams.the first boat i owned was a bantam bass tracker with a 30lb thrust TM .now i use a kayak im comfy on shore and my yak i capitalise both depending on pond.i aint perfect but i sure can read a pond with a 5 minute glance if its gonna be easy or tough.

I like mom and pop stores but very rare to find.like others have said they usaully have odd things i need and sometimes better prices on usual things.if i was a single guy with no family i wouldnt mind paying a premium for hunting and fishing stuff and id mom and pop all the time,but now its a case of do i feed your family or mine thats a no brainer.

Try some 6 lb yozuri it breaks at 12 and handles really good on my penn fierce with regular spools

What size line if its the one i have seen 6lb line or less is what u need to get a wiggle for what its worth a guy gave me about 20 rebel crickhoppers one day in exchange for a pack of zoom lizards he said they didnt wobble he was using 12lb p line he swore up and down he tried them on a ultra light also and didnt wobble ,they work on my med light with 6 lb yo zuri fine

Yes and no it also depends on how the line is wrapped ..slow or fast.i dont know all the dynamics but its been around for a long time long shallow spools or deep tapered spools vice versa slow oscillating reels and fast. There is a good mix but off the top of my head i think Dawia has the best combo for spinning reel spools and i do believe they have patent for it

When u take the handle off it will slinky off pretty easy

Zoom manns culprit mister twister yum i think these makers cover anything you will ever need for bass at a great price point per ratio of baits.i have just about every manufacturers plastic out here and some out of business.IMO there is no need to pay 8$ for 8 baits when i can get bulk and double the 8$.And still slay bass bluegill rockfish bluefish all with the same stuff.fish aint picky unless your fishing a 300acre lake with no life.then even a 10$ bag of plastics wont get u bit

I been switching so long i dont even think about it anymore im a righty with both kinds of reels right handed..but i have been known to reel lefty with a few abus and big baits with some resistance in saltwater manns stretch 10 and 1 oz traps

Its all about whats in the water that messes up your line.if the water is open UL can tame even the biggest fish ..but saltwater has barnacles,osytershells that you cant see .i do UL in saltwater never any probs i dont do 4 or 2 lb .Ul in saltwater for me is 6 lb yo zuri
