  1. When I built Bass Trek, I purposely left the rear area open for storage of 'bulk' items. Starting battery, toss cushion and anchor all live back there. Since I don't have spot-lock, the anchor gets used when in deeper water than the stake-out pole can handle.
  2. ^ Lynn probably enjoys it though. 😉
  3. He's making up for the fact that I lost my ponytail to chemo this past year....leave his hair alone. And Seth's too....
  4. Welcome from the 'tropical paradise' known as Minne-snow-ta. 😆
  5. I'll see you and raise a "-9"
  6. ^ I'll take the snow if you take our temp - currently it's -21 with a wind chill of -38....and I have to go out in it for a Dr. Appt.
  7. I did similar for the longest time. FG at home when prepping for a trip, Alberto in the boat when needed. Since my Alberto knots never failed - I just dumped the FG all-together and just use the Alberto now.
  8. So no massive snow-forts like I use to build living in Worcester back in the 60s? Far as driving - my behind-the-wheel training was in northern MN in January. It's a strange feeling when you pull up to a stop sign in a 1976 Ford LTD, come to a complete stop....then the car starts sliding towards the curb. That's what I learned in.
  9. ^ This....all day long. It's the rod that matters - long as the reel works, you're good.
  10. Preference for split - but won't pass up a full-handle if the rod has the stats I'm looking for.
  11. MN Fisher replied to LongShot8's topic in Fishing Tackle
Ya, Ned catches decent size bass
  12. I really don't know...have to check that out.
  13. I can - without tools - and I use to rely on it...but switched to the Alberto. It's easier to tie and hasn't failed me yet.
  14. 1000 and 2000 shallow spool, which I have one of the former, and two of the latter (as well as a 2500)
  15. Must be the I-Pad - Firefox/Linux it's a little less than 1/4 the width of the window.
  16. Round gets changed to oval or teardrop on all my cranks/jerks.
  17. ^ What Fry said - I've also moved from the FG to the Alberto for the same reason.
  18. One request if possible. Other forums have the ability to ignore topics...you mark it, and it doesn't even show up in your topic list. Can this be implemented?
  19. Check the line capacity - I know that my Miravel 2000s reels hold the same amount as my Miravel 1000....so it really doesn't make a difference.
  20. Just don't haul hard when setting the hook - braid and treble hooks in combo is asking for ripped lips and lost fish/
  21. Two of my panfish rigs correspond to yours....and here's what I have on them Light rig - 1000 reel, L/F rod - 6# Revolve braid, 4# InvizX leader around 15' Med-Light - 1000 reel - ML/MF rod, 8# Sufix 832 braid, 6# InvizX leader around 15'
  22. Forget the site, but this chart was published
  23. Sounds like a bad pair - I've cut 17# and even 20# FC with my Cudas and no issue.
  24. I tried a pair last year - got a couple more and tossed every other line cutter away...the Cuda scissors beat everything else hands-down.
  25. If it gets warm, there's going to be a slight over-pressure of gas vapor that will escape the cap. A slight smell of gas isn't an issue - just open the door for a couple minutes to air out.
