  1. ^ If you do have some EMI/RFI interference on the sonar - it can usually be cleared up by putting a filter on the power supply to the sonar. A Ferrite Ring Core is usually enough for low power (<24v) applications. https://www.amazon.com/uxcell-Ferrite-Cores-Suppression-Filter/dp/B07YJWYKFH/ref=sr_1_9?keywords=ferrite%2Brings&qid=1691161862&sr=8-9&th=1
  2. ^ Ya, the Gammy Swivel-Shots are another good one.
  3. I use the SpinShots....but not the standard ones. Go with the SpinShot Neko. And yes - use a sweeping hookset.
  4. You should be alright - my old canoe I had the sonar, cameras and USB ports (camera and Tablet power) connected to the same battery as my MinnKota 30....never had an issue. I do run 2 batteries now - one for the Edge 45, a second/smaller one for everything else.
  5. Technicians operated the animatronic constructs under the supervision of Ralph Ayers - who won the 1952 Academy Award for Technical Achievement.
  6. @airshot - funny, I just checked and the Mighty Max 100ah AGM I bought June of last year is actually less expensive now.
  7. Tom's got the right of it. Remember that AGM's ARE lead-acid...they just have glass mats to hold the electrolyte...like Gel-Cells use a special Silica to do the same thing. Electrically, Wet-Cells, AGMs and Gel-Cells are pretty close to identical...the electrolyte suspending mechanisms in Gel and AGMs are the only real difference.
  8. You and Lynn are in my thoughts, Andy.
  9. Yes, actually Some trivia 1: After seeing Parker's acting in 'Them' - a Disney exec decided 'That's our Davy Crockett' - and that's how Fess got the role. 2: John Wayne saw the movie and recommended Arness for the role of Matt Dillon in 'Gunsmoke'...the rest is history.
  10. James Arness was in it - no Joan Collins or Peter Graves though Couple other names you might recognize James Whitmore Fess Parker Leonard Nimoy (Spock) had a bit part.

  12. ^ We got one big problem with that up here, Tommy
  13. I'm in the 2k-2.5k ballpark for your rig. That's mainly based on the electronics, though older units (Echomap Plus, Striker Plus) will depreciate that. Also depends on what type of batteries (flooded, AGM, Gel-Cell) and how old. 3-gallon tank is pretty small, and no live-well is a downgrade for a 'decked rig'.
  14. I use the double uni for backing to mainline - for mainline to leader it's the FG when pre-rigging before a trip, but Alberto if I'm re-tying a leader in the boat. I'm tying leaders that are long enough to get into the spool, and the double uni always seems to want to hang up on a cast where-as I don't have that issue with FG or Alberto.
  15. I always tie direct to swim jigs - no split-ring/snap/whatever. Dunno what could be causing the skirt to 'glue' to the trailer.
  16. His user name is a give-away....He's from Missouri. 'MO-Basser' We do have a couple Brits who pop in now and then, and one from Portugal...but I haven't seen him in months.
  17. Which could be any of three creeks, South Branch Zumbro river, or 'Silver Lake' - which is basically a pool of the Zumbro.
  18. "A fishing tournament, run by Bart’s Cove in Dunkirk, disqualified Peter Smith, 57, of Forestville after he was allegedly caught by tournament officials shoving fish inside of the walleye he captured to make them weigh more. The event took place Saturday and Sunday and included a $500 entry fee." https://www.observertoday.com/news/top-stories/2023/08/latest-drama-at-city-marina-tied-to-fishing-tourney/
  19. Andy....it's Kent, who's middle name is 'Weird'...
  20. This makes my 4th Bass Mojo...I'm happy with them. I may grab another as they're closing out the 'old' Mojos for 20% off to make room for the new (IMO: ugly) Trigons. @gimruis And ya - pulled the trigger. Mojo 7'5" MH/XF on it's way.
  21. ALF had a 30% rebate sale going on all their used gear. Since I had this in my wishlist; for $118 with $35 coming back as a gift card...I couldn't lose...and like the other rod I got from their used area, I can't find one thing wrong with it.
