  1. My mom - she thought Rockies were great tasting...so when I fished Bemidji and lakes in that area, I'd always make sure to bring some home for her.
  2. Sure looks like one...
  3. They got a milder climate temperature wise than we do given the moderating effects of the Atlantic and some outliers of the Gulf Stream.
  4. Yes those are good size - but I think Maine would average a little larger given that their state record is almost 3# more than ours. MN state record largemouth = 8#15oz ME state record largemouth = 11#10oz
  5. Yep - one I got in a crappie pattern from a small-output guy is a V-110 clone.
  6. I'd do that with the canoe - not with Bass Trek...I like my back just the way it is. Nope...sorry Russ...never enough
  7. Emerald and Seton were at 57 when I was out...but being the two smallest basins in the Tonka chain, they usually warm up faster.
  8. If the wife and I splurge for a dozen (normally we'll get 1 or 2 each occasionally), it's gonna be half for her - glazed, chocolate iced, crumb-covered, etc ...and half for me - cream bismarks, jelly bismarks, chocolate long-johns, etc. Sorry @volzfan59. my friend - I LOVE filled donuts...course I got the metabolism to handle it.
  9. Well, despite not having many reach the final...I'm still sitting at 91.1% and 9th place in the group Gotta be doing something right.
  10. MN-DNR is now asking for public opinion on possibly expanding the Bass C&R season back to March 1. This would mean no more closed season for Bass, though keeping of Bass (for those of us who practice selective harvest) would remain closed from Feb 28 to Memorial Weekend. https://engage.dnr.state.mn.us/fisheries-public-input-wildlife-public-input/survey_tools/proposed-bass-catch-and-release-season
  11. I had mine in as soon as the brackets opened after Cooper... Two I picked - the other three I rolled dice to decide.
  12. Ouch...
  13. 1/16, 1/8, 3/16, 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 3/4, 1.5
  14. Frogging and Flipping it's Sufix 832 for me...prefer it greatly over PowerPro which I formerly used.
  15. Still use the same type I used on my old runabout back in the 90s - the long-arm style. It's not too much of a hassle to get it in...takes me less than a minute.
  16. I don't do cranks on braid - 12# Yo-Zuri Hybrid is my crank rig line. If you do go braid to leader - that 12# Sunline would work fine....but I'd have at least a 10' (3m) leader.
  17. That's the same one I use for not only spinnerbaits, but buzzbaits as well.
  18. This was standard among cars for many years. Your spare was a 'compact spare', smaller than the tires on the axles...designed to get you to a repair shop, not for long-term use. Boat companies caught onto this since it saves them money at the front end...those smaller tires cost less.
  19. Soon as someone gives me the money so I can afford one. Some of us are on very tight budgets.
  20. I think I got a couple Spros in my box, but mainly I have Booyah (regular) and River-2-Sea Spittin' Wa (popping).
  21. @gimruis - look for reviews on Relion - Trackers are just relabeled Relions.
  22. It's a thing. My last order from Scheels was shipped from three different stores, so arrived in three different packages. Still was zero shipping charge since I'd bought more than $50 in that order.
  23. @flyfisher - you mean like this?
  24. Okuma Celilo 702L-1 is a great little panfish rod for $40 https://www.scheels.com/p/okuma-celilo-ultra-light-spinning-rod/84008341812.html?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=unpaidlistings&src=hardlines
  25. Ya, I've got a couple Celilos for panfish - like you, it's not an all-the-season thing. They work fine for what I use them for.
