  1. Some of those power-packs for jumping have a circuit in them for the USB plug designed to charge the lithium batteries in phones/tablets/etc without issue. The main connections, however, ARE for Lead-Acid only as Lithium 12v batteries aren't designed to take the surge of current. They're also not designed to give up a surge either...which is why they're not used as starting batteries.
  2. Man that sucks - been there myself...many years ago. Lost this beauty to a '76 Thunderbird.
  3. Whelp - I'm out for this weekend. (sighs)
  4. Great for wet-cells - AGM and Gel are sealed...no way to add more to the electrolyte.
  5. ^ What he said - though I use the VMC Spin-Shot hooks. They have standard DS style, EWG and even Neko hooks as Spin-Shots.
  6. Standard wet-cell - old tech, acid sloshes around in the case - Lead-Acid AGM - glass mats to hold the electrolyte more-or-less in place - Lead-Acid (see above link) Gel-Cell - silica sand mixed with the electrolyte to make it 'jello' consistency - Lead-Acid https://northeastbattery.com/battery-101-pros-cons-gel-mat-battery/ All three are 'lead-acid' batteries - just different ways of holding the acid in the case.
  7. AGM IS a lead-acid - just that it's got 'glass' mats that hold the acid in place preventing sloshing https://www.crownbattery.com/news/agm-vs-flooded-batteries-what-you-need-to-know
  8. Very interesting...wonder if any other state's departments are doing the same type of testing.
  9. We had no power issues last night - but we've lost power thrice this winter...so count yourself lucky.
  10. Yesterday's high - 34 Last night's low - -6 It's like it can't make up it's mind.
  11. Irish And Scottish
  12. Ya - mine came yesterday.
  13. Sufix Nanobraid goes all the way down to 2# test. Panfishing guys up here seem to love it. https://www.rapala.com/sufix/braid/nanobraid/NanoBraid.html?cgid=sufix-braid&taglist=Sufix|Braid
  14. Livesay had 11-5 today...didn't make the cut The Hack-Attack had 17-15 today...ended up at 20th, so he fishes tomorrow.
  15. Well, Austin and the G-Man fell off - but I got three going out again tomorrow...par for the course for me really.
  16. I've got 40# 832 on one of my Patriarchs and the 8.1 Fuego...not a problem.
  17. On any of the Fantasy Fishing pages - put your mouse over GROUPS in the top menu And it'll show a list of the groups you've joined
  18. I hope Austin does - my other 4 guys are above the cut-line so far...Austin is only 1/2lb outside of it. Come on guys...give me some points here. Can you believe Ike's surge today?
  19. I wouldn't - tried 20# PP on a BC - removed it and went to 30#....20# is just too thin IMO.
  20. Mike's running his own sale at Siebert - 15% off everything in stock - code is 'spring22' - ends Tuesday.
  21. Wasn't just TW - it was the service they use for processing CC info. One of my cards was replaced by the carrier for the same reason...and it was a card I'd never used at TW...but had elsewhere.
  22. They have half-a-dozen SK plastics on 'clearance'...new designs coming out or something? https://www.basspro.com/r/shop/en/softbaits#numberOfResults=32&f[currentoffers]=Clearance
  23. I'm the same - rarely, and only when fixing the occasional backlash, do I have to pinch the braid when reeling in. Braid on 2 spinners and 3 casters - definitely get a decent braid...832 is all I'm using right now.
  24. Not shabby - could be better In order of my picks 70 52 25 18 28 Two of my boys gotta get better to make tomorrow's cut, but Whatley, G-Man and the Llama all are looking pretty decent.
  25. We got Culvers, Subway, Dairy Queen and the Minnetonka Drive Thru here. The Drive Thru is an old A&W that the manager bought when A&W was closing down it's drive-thru franchise...he still runs it like the old days - cute high-school girls bringing your food out to the slots where the speakers are. One day a week is 'classic car day'...everything from old Model-A's to souped up 70s Vettes and Camaros fill the lot. The McDonald's in Mound closed down about 20 years ago - it's now a second-hand thrift shop, the Burger King about a year before that - it's a dental office now. Closest McDonald's is now either Excelsior or Wayzata - no idea where there's a Burger King anymore. We have a few in the area - I avoid them like the plague....reasons.
