Wait - why am I laughing...I hit that the week before Thanksgiving. (whines)

New rules - the elder people support the 'kids'.

And for a bit over 3 months - you're finally older than me.
  4. One of the other guys at the spot I was fishing would occasionally toss a sunny on the bank on our side of that water... Heronetta (yes, it's named...it's a regular visitor to that spot) would come across, eat the sunny then flap back to her perch.
  5. Direct upload from my computer or phone using the 'Drag files here' link below - making sure the file size (or total size of all if more than one) is below 1.4mb. Most phone image apps have a 'resize' option...on my computer, I use Photoshop to resize.
  6. 8HP on a 12' Aluminum - you should be good.
  7. Dunno about the rock bass, but the blugills and pumpkinseeds were 'swarming' it before that bass took it. I didn't even have any 'bass' lures with me - was on what I use for my panfish rig - Avocet RZT-1000 with 4# YZH on my Okuma Reflexions 7' ML/MF
  8. I throw jerks on my Fury 703SF...does quite well.
  9. The Striker does NOT have pre-loaded maps, that's the Echomap. No SD card slot in the Striker either. How you get maps into the Striker's internal memory is to create them using the Quickdraw feature of the unit. You can also link the unit via Wi-Fi to your phone or tablet, join the Active Captain community and download maps others have created using Quickdraw.
  10. A little searching, and you are correct. Blue Fox Flash Spinner. https://www.rapala.com/blue-fox/spinners/flash-spinner/Flash+Spinner.html?cgid=bluefox-spinners&taglist=Blue Fox|Spinners#start=1&cgid=bluefox-spinners
  11. Ya, I don't know the name of them either. I was actually out for sunnies and crappies, working to put some in the freezer. The LMB was a surprise...a nice surprise, but still wasn't expecting it.
  12. Far as I know - a regular member can't delete their own posts period...edit yes, in a limited timeframe, but not delete.
  13. Had someone else fishing near where I was this morning.
  14. ^ Echo My 703 is Jerks, Weightless plastics, and finesse jigs. My current frog rod is an Aird-X H/F, the upgrade on my wish-list is...ta-da...a 735C to haul them out of the lily pads.
  15. I've been wanting to shift to grip-pins, but the price throws me off. Now I can make my own. Thanks, Papa Joe.
  16. Omnia strikes again - now through Sunday at midnight, selected Plano Edge boxes are 30% off.
  17. Got out shore fishing this morn...after much sunnies, got this 17" On a little inline spinner
  18. Ya - we try. I've been a tech-geek since the early 70s (born in '59 - like A-Jay). Private college prep school for Junior High had a computer - taught myself to program it so I could have it do my math homework for me. I won't touch Macs though...bad experience in the mid-late 80s when I was the tech support 'guru' for a mid-size company turned me off to pretty much anything labeled 'Apple'.
  19. Ortho Weed-B-Gone has never failed me.
  20. That does suck. I've had PayPal for a dozen years now, use it regularly, and never had an issue. Ya, the cell-phone thing is a bummer for those who don't have one. I've been 'wireless' for 26 years now...still have the same number. Last year updated the wife's cell-phone - her cell number now is our old land-line number...we 'cut the wire'.
  21. Having handled Colts in several power/action classes and compared them...I'd take a Diawa Aird-X 701MLFS over the Colt 702SF.
  22. Little over your stated budget at retail, but during sales you can find it for around $90 - Dobyns Fury 702SF I have one as my general finesse rod and it's well worth the extra cost. If $100 is a hard limit - my secondary finesse rod would probably work good for you - Okuma Reflexions 701MLA - retail is $75
