Yes - Dobyns rods are easy to interpret First 2 digits is the length - so 73 is 7'3" Last digit is the power - so a 3 or 4 You want the 734 for tossing 3/8oz+ spinnerbaits.

I'd use a 4-power Dobyns for spinners By the time you count in the hook, skirt and blades on a 3/8oz spinnerbait, it's actually close to 1/2oz...the printed weight is just for the lead/tungsten head. Now add a fair sized trailer - 4" Berkley Pit Boss, 4" GYCB Fat Ika, 3.8" Keitech Fat Impact, etc - you're now over the lure rating on a 3-power.

Ya - but it's being scaled back massively. It is a mobile tool box - but garage main door to sidewalk next to work area is 10' of grass...whoops And garage to back door right in front of work area...there's a 2" step up...umm, not that way either. Tool box is 2' from that step up...8' from door...closest I can get it.

At least it's only about 15' from where the trailer is parked to my tool-box.

Unspool to a dowel, slice through it with a razor-knife into small lengths, out in the normal trash. Wish I could - City Ordinance: all we're allowed to burn is paper, cardboard and wood...nothing else.

I haven't noticed any issues like that. I'm also tossing 5" Senkos weighted and unweighted Wacky, 5" flukes weighted and unweighted twistlocks, etc on the 703SF without issues. The line/lure ratings of the SF and the C aren't that far apart. Matter of fact, the 703C has the identical line/lure ratings as the 7' Tatula XT Medium/Fast casting rod. So the 703C is 'actually' a Medium, not a Medium-Heavy. I look at ratings, not what words some manufacturer chooses to put on their rods.

The only Berkley Worms I have are from the early 80s...still work fine. For me, depends on the bait. I moved all my Stik-Os & Cabelas Action Tails (same thing really) and my Eco Pro Swing Shads to 4"x6"x4mm Plymor bags...then labeled them with name, length, color with my Brother label maker on the section above the zipper. Couple years now and no indication of any issues with them. May move more plastics to those...stores better in my 3607 boxes.

I love it when they use different bolts to attach the same items Fenders: One side had 3/8 hex bolts front and rear...that's fine...exactly what I would have used Other side...front was a 3/8 socket head, rear was a 5/16 hex head (stares)

This is exactly how I did the mix for my old 40HP Evinrude on the runabout...never had an issue.

Great rod in that price-bracket...I have a Fury 704 myself, my main bottom contact rod. An Aird-X MH is my moving bait rod.
