My 2018 Galaxy Tab and my 2020 Galaxy A51 phone are a little hard to see the screen in direct sun, but a hand shading them makes them readable again. Since my tablet is mounted on an arm, I'm thinking of getting something like this to help visibility on the water.

For a casting rig using slip-bobbers - definitely use the string type...don't forget a bead, even those strings can get embedded in the opening of the bobber.

Fury 705CB is what my crankbait rod is...great rod for the price point. If the other rods are Moderate or Moderate-Fast action (taper), then definitely use them for any moderate size treble lures - cranks, spooks, ploppers (to 90 size), etc. Jerks and lipless I run on a Medium/Fast rod, poppers on a M/F spinner...larger ploppers (110+) and super spooks I toss on a Heavy.

Dad taught me all that growing up. I've built walls to sub-divide my basement; run outlets, switches and hung new lights in those divided areas; and some years ago worked to replace my water heater...which involved sweating in couplers as the previous water heater had been hard-soldered to the lines.

Sharks can't because of how their pectoral fins are arranged, but tuna can.

First item Check with your state DNR/DFW/whatever...some states restrict stocking private ponds and you have to go through them to do it.

I'm just one of those who try to stay away from harsh chemicals unless it's needed. If it's your thing, go for it, I just try to find less 'dangerous' methods.

They CAN go backwards, but very slowly as they use their pectoral fins to do it. The reason the trap works is that there's not enough room on the sides for them to use their pectoral fins effectively to back up through the opening.

I was just playing a little. Ya, let it out then reel it in pinching it with your finger and thumb...no need to let it trail for a bit.

I don't think you have to let out that much...that's 2200' of distance (5280*5/12)...don't know a freshwater spinner that holds that much line. Just let out enough that you're deeper into the spool than your longest cast...then reel it in...no need to wait.

Not identical, but close enough to not really matter. One thing to note with spinning rods is that the tip is sometimes softer. Some Fast action spinning rods would be considered a Moderate-Fast as a casting rod. You can find heavier power rods for spinning. I have an Okuma Reflexions MH/F spinning..rated to 1.25oz lures...and Dobyns has 4 and 5 power spinning rods in some of their lines.

Or just this - it's what I use to de-rust my tools...takes a bit longer than Catt's method, but no worries about sticking your hands in it to scrub a little with a green pad.

When using FC on spinning reels Rule 1 - Get some KVD Line&Lure and use it Rule 2 - As light a line as possible - I'd go to 12# on a 3000 reel, but that's about it. Rule 3 - Use a high-quality line that's fairly limp - I have InvizX 6# on my 1000 size and InvizX 8# on my 2000/2500 reels with little problems...Tatsu is probably your best option, InvizX second (I'm on a budget, so it's InvizX for me) Rule 4 - Spinning reels WILL twist line - every so often trail it out behind you without weight and reel it back in between your fingers to give it tension...it'll untwist.

Far as I know - they only have the filter on the rods. Click on the 'Filter' icon and it gives you options. Baitcasting rods have a filter too.
