Spinning reel under $50 that will last forever and wont have to worry about it fraying line?
If you can wait a bit - keep checking FFO. I got my Trion-35 from there for $19. Currently they only have a T-20 and T-40...but their inventory updates a few times a week. FFO is the factory outlet for Pure Fishing - who owns Abu, Pfleuger, Shakespeare, Berkley and others. Or you could just go with a Mitchell Mag-Pro 3000 for $56 - normally $90 I have a 'new generation' Mitchell reel - Avocet RZ-2000 - and it's actually been a good reel.

Until you start paying for it. Supreme XT-40 weighs only 0.1oz more than the Trion-30 and 0.1oz less than the President-30. Of course, it's a $150 reel.

In general do you find it easier to reel faster or slower?
I'm more about IPT than gear ratio and like them between 25IPT and 29IPT. The BC I use for all cranks is 6.3:1 26.3IPT; the spinning reel is 5.2:1 28.5IPT

Low cost mobile mapping app?
I'm using the I-Boating app on my Galaxy Tab 8" - I think the detail is very good. Here's a screen-shot showing the recorded track of my 'best of the year' catch last year. Recording your day plus setting waypoints is one reason I went with that one.

Pflueger Trion or President 30 will hold about 80 yds of 12# 35 will hold about 115 yds. Note - most people will say to go no higher than 10# on spinning reels.

10-to-1 they're just re-labled Shakespeare Alphas....no - just no.

Spinning reel under $50 that will last forever and wont have to worry about it fraying line?
I doubt it - that'd be like trying to fit a Pflueger 35 spool on a 30 body...I know my Trion-35 spool won't work on my Trion-30 reel...the size of the body-section under the spool is different.

It's like people saying "Don't use higher than 8# Yo-Zuri on spinning reels". I had 10# on my Trion-30 last year, used KVD and had no issues. The 10# is now on my Trion-35.

Double-down on that. I have a Trion 30...on a Medium/Fast rod. Probably my most used spinning rig.

Ummm - good luck on that. My Trions retail for around $40 and while they're well made and I enjoy using them...I don't expect a lifetime of service from them...and I'm 60, so lifetime is a relative thing.

Setting up a network
Basically - the answer is no. Garmin and Lowrance use different proprietary software. Longer answer in this forum - https://www.thehulltruth.com/marine-electronics-forum/776307-link-garmin-lowrance.html

Side Imaging on Jon Boat Straight to Battery?
If it's got an inline fuse included - then you should be alright. If it doesn't, I'd definitely add a fuse to the line.

August in July and the Covid Stomp
I think we're a little more determined here...local BP station actually refused service to one person because they wouldn't keep to the 6' distancing requirement.

August in July and the Covid Stomp
Ya, but that should be moot here. Starting today, per Governor's mandate, all persons in public places must wear a mask at all times. "No shoes, no shirt, no pants, no mask: No Service" (ya, some places DO have the 'no pants' added...we have some weirdos here.)

Hooks - EWG, Offset RB, Straight Shank?
If it's working for you - no need to change. For me - Off-set RBs are for narrow body plastics - Zoom worms, Berkley Power Worms, etc EWGs are for thicker bodied - Pit Boss, Chigger Claw, Rage Bug, etc. Only time I use straight-shank is if I'm live-bait fishing under a bobber.

How to Use Baitcaster.

Another one to stay away from is the Diawa Shock combos.- Pleasantly surprised
I've got two Trion spinning reels and they're almost as nice as my Presidents. Great reels for the budget angler.- light spininng ¿daiwa crossfire rod vs berkley cherrywood hd?
- Who still uses a Non-Slip Loop Knot?
- Who still uses a Non-Slip Loop Knot?
Ya - basically what I said, but more in depth.- UFO's: Are Aliens Among Us?
Exactly - the reference point used is the home planet. While the crew might only experience days or months, the home planet - who wants the results of the exploration - won't see it for centuries in their time-frame. That's the issue - I don't know of any government or private concern that would spend the money needed to launch such an expedition when they won't see the results of their 'investment' - nor their children, grand-children, great-grand-children...etc-etc-etc.- UFO's: Are Aliens Among Us?
Of course - but that doesn't affect the source. The travelers may only experience months or even days during the journey, but when they get back 'home' - decades or centuries have passed there...that's the time I'm talking about. Do you think we could put an exploration trip together that we wouldn't even see the results of for centuries?- UFO's: Are Aliens Among Us?
Are there other races out there? Probably - given all the extra-solar planets discovered, evolution HAS to have happened elsewhere...and there's probably some who are more advanced than us, Are they visiting us? Probably not. Time of travel between systems is measured in decades if not centuries given what our physicists know and we're nothing special. No reason for other races to come here. Remembering that test flights of SR-71, B-2 and F-117 were reported as UFOs...well... - Pleasantly surprised
