  1. I have one of those too...if I'm wearing the camera shoulder rig or chest rig, it's connected to power the camera.
  2. I forget the rod, cause I think it lasted 3-4 rods....but the reel was a Mitchell Garcia 320.
  3. Ya, crappie belong in the broiler, not in another fish's belly.
  4. Dunno about Billy - but my crappie-rigs are Medium-Light to Ultra-light rods with 1000 size reels and line 10# and under braid to 6# and under mono/FC/Hybrid leaders using small lures.
  5. Nope - as Mickey said, the lithium deep-cycle batteries aren't rated to expel enough amps to crank a motor...not even my little 25hp. Invest in an 'Emergency Battery Pack' as those ARE designed to fill in for cranking batteries. If someone is still running a Lithium-Ion Deep Cycle on their boat, I'd suggest they get rid of it NOW. Those things are a hazard. Modern Lithium Deep Cycles are all LiFePo4, which are MUCH safer than the old Ion batteries.
  6. That''s something for Lynn to determine.
  7. Woo-hoo - I'm first in line!!!
  8. ^ And here I thought it was just the result of Cajun Grade school...
  9. Plumber's teflon tape...put 4-5 wraps around the threads where the nut will be.
  10. ^ I could have gone console when building Bass Trek, but decided on a tiller to give me a bit more room. I have no complaints about it.
  11. It's Déjà vu all over again
  12. Skeletor's Mini-Me?
  13. For some it is - look up Samhain...that's what Halloween 'replaced'. Haven't done 'Christmas' since I was way younger....it's Yule for me ( which IS different )
  14. Ya - this whole fall has just been psycho.
  15. Gotta love consistency. Last year @gimruis posted this Exactly one year later we have this going on And the NWS posted this Winter Weather Advisory in effect from October 31, 10:00 AM CDT until October 31, 04:00 PM CDT Kids tonight better have their warm undies on.
  16. Yep - we did the same back in the 60s...sis and I would fill our pillowcases to almost overflowing. Enjoy your time tonight, Sean...
  17. Russ has just experienced what most of us already knew - spinnerbaits work. My avatar bass was spinnerbait caught...
  18. Let's kick it off with a meal - wife wanted her own thing the other night, so I made up this for myself. Roasted Cornish Game Hen with my own spice mixture Nathan's onion rings, air fried Steamed broccoli florets with a couple slices of Velveeta over them.
  19. If you're even semi-handy, you can just build it yourself in your garage. Bass Trek before Bass Trek after Took a winter in my garage but ended up with a high deck, rod locker, livewell, 6 tackle compartments and a general compartment. Framing under the deck is 1/16" aluminum angle of 1"x1" riveted together. Deck is oil-based Spar Urethane treated 1/2" plywood then either painted or carpeted. total cost including 25hp electric start Evinrude was right around $3,000.
  20. Alumacraft has the 16' Escape Tiller model
  21. My MH/F Aird-X was purchased at Fleet Farm about 6 years ago...
  22. I don't think they'll phase it out in the near future, it's their only rod in that price range. The Tat-XT is twice the price and in a different class anyway, and the lower priced rods haven't had stellar reviews. The Aird-X is an anomaly, a budget rod that fishes way above it's price-point.
  23. A glance at their website and they have the following Aird-X in stock at $49.95 661MFB 661MHFB 701MHFB 701HFB
  24. (snicker) Thorne Bros is local to me - they've been a Minneapolis institution for decades.
