North East Bass Fishing -Do you use white lures (spinner baits, chatterbaits, etc) ?
We had them in Indian Lake (NW part of Worcester)....course that was back in the 60s and early 70s...moved out of MA in 1972.

Winter 2024 / 2025 ~
Ya, that's what we're getting here - what little snow we got is almost gone and today's high is predicted to be 41. Then the bottom drops out again with Thursday night being 6 and Friday being 14. Crazy weather, dude.

TW 10% off gift cards heads up
And if you do go ahead - be VERY patient...they won't ship any backordered item until ALL the backordered items are in stock...unlike other places that ship when an item comes in.

6061 is better - no matter the particular flavor - as the alloy has a much higher tensile strength (27,000psi for 6063-T52 vs 45,000psi for 6061-T6 - the two most commonly available alloys). When I built Bass Trek, all the framing was done in 6061-T6 for the added strength.

Found some OLD z-man Chatterbaits, Strike King Pure Poison jigs & OG Booyah Bladed Jig-Boogie blade? These any good?
Original Z-Man chatterbaits were my mainstay until I started switching to Siebert's Fogy and Fogy Pro. They're a decent chatter, and I caught many a fish on them.

Help deciding on fish finder

How moderate do you like your jig rod?
I like a longer rod myself Mojo Bass (pre Trigon) 7'5" MH/XF More of a MH-H as it's rated to 1&1/4 oz lure weight.

- Anyone hunt brown bears?
Alaska and Canada's Yukon Territory are the only places that brown bear hunting is allowed on the continent.- The official "Who's drinking tonight?" thread
That's a decent Scotch...not top of the line, but good for the price....I think he'll be happy with it.- St Croix Black Bass rods
Wife got me a Black Bass 7'3" MH/F for my birthday last month. While not as light as a Victory, it's well balanced with a Tatula 100 on it, the taper seems to be good and it seems responsive. I might have a new line to purchase since they ruined the Mojo. I like the color scheme as well.- Black, no sugar and no cream!
There's a Turkish restaurant in my area - belly dancing around the tables and everything. Yep, Turkish Coffee will put hair on your chest in no time...no matter who you are. I've got a french press that I use now and then, but mainly just a $25 B&D Drip machine. I'd love to get a high-end coffee - but I'm a cheap B-Tard cause of my finances...my regular coffee of choice is Folgers Black Silk, my twice a week special is Caribou Mahogany Blend and my guilty pleasure that I 'indulge' in twice a year is Flamstead Estate Jamaican Blue Mountain....I keep a bag of whole-bean vacuum packed in the freezer, pull out enough for a couple cups, grind it, and brew it.- Post a photo a day!
That's gonna be me on Wednesday - though I'm the cook, so it'll be done how I like it (mostly). "Stick a fork in it and it tries to moo."- Winter 2024 / 2025 ~
Meanwhile, at the same latitude as Andy - I woke up to +25 this morning....amazing what a change in longitude can bring.- FISHMAS 2024
Yule is here - so my gifting from Spencer has been opened. A few Mike Siebert jigs, some worm weights and a nice selection of plastics....all of this will get use this coming year, thanks man.- Signing in with a Display Name
Same here - but I made sure my saved logon info is with the E-Mail address....it had been set to my user-name.- Could use some good vibes
Good thoughts for your dad, Glenn.- Why not more canoeists?
I did the canoe thing up north but down here when I tried it, it was too much trouble given the high traffic volume on my lakes. So I went and built Bass Trek starting with an old 3-seat fishing boat. My canoe was pretty tricked out too. - Anyone hunt brown bears?
