  1. I use these 'badge holders' for mine. You can clip them to belt-loops or D-Rings or directly to your belt. This pic you can see my scissors and a pair of pliers dangling from my belt.
  2. They're tools to be used, and some of mine show it - though I don't abuse them, there is some boat-rash on a couple reels and some scratches on a couple rods.
  3. Most of the pictures in there have been removed anyway - but basically it's 1/8x2x2 aluminum angle attached to the hull under the gunnels, cuts every 3 inches to allow it to be bent to follow the curve. 1/16x1x1 aluminum angle for the rest of the framing, including a subfloor under which went pour-foam to give flotation and leaving the central channel open for drainage.
  4. I'm outta here
  5. I call them snow-plows - course it might be a remnant of my Massachusetts upbringing
  6. I only go that far cause I can reach the rest with brushes/sprayers and yes I do clean them too Spool bearings, as you say, are the one's in the side-plate and the inner workings one...both of them. Cheaper reels will replace one with a bushing. I hate Zero-Adjust.....
  7. Use that junebug/red Ol Monster when it's dark - heavy clouds, night/early morning or if your body of water is particularly dark from algae and such.
  8. Yearly quick clean - flush the bearings and put a couple drops of oil in them Bi-yearly full clean - strip the reel down, clean the gears and bearings, new grease and oil Grease - I've used Abu grease, it never let me down - higher price...jump right to Cals Tan. Oil - I use 'sewing machine' oil. It's formulated for high speed, repetitive motions Full strip-down is this far for me - This is one of my Tatula 100 reels.
  9. 5/0 Worm hook 3/8 oz bullet weight Zoom Ol Monster in Green Pumpkin Drag on the bottom, hop across the bottom, swim it above the bottom.
  10. That number applies to raw materials (bar/rod stock). Manufactured items - like fishing reels - have a different tariff...the new 15% across-the-board-rate announced recently
  11. After a quick Google search - Aluminum, steel and copper all have a 50% tariff currently.
  12. Nope - general tariff on anything coming out of that country - it was different tariffs for different countries - 10%-50%...but now it's going to 10% across the board. There is also a specific tariff on aluminum and steel coming out of Canada.
  13. Before mine fell out from the chemo - wife called me "A scruffy-looking nerf-herder."
  14. Wally was outside though https://www.facebook.com/reel/936222572397415
  15. I see you're in NC - relevant parts of the NC Regs "Nongame fishes, crustaceans (crayfish and blue crabs), and mollusks may be taken in inland fishing waters or personal use (bait or personal consumption) only with the equipment listed below, and with a valid license that provides basic inland fishing privileges." eRegulationsNorth Carolina Nongame Fish Size & Creel LimitsCheck North Carolina nongame fish size & creel limits for legal catches statewide. 16. Nickname given to the original TRD - it looks like a small poop.
  17. Which shop though....while Digitaka covers 1/2 the tariff and the price you pay them covers your half, some shops don't.
  18. Shaky head: 1/16, 1/8 or 1/4 depending on the depth I'm fishing Drop-Shot - 1/16, 1/8 or 1/4 depending on the depth I'm fishing Hair Jigs - never fished with them Finesse Jigs - 1/8 or 1/4 Neko - 1/32 or 1/16 depending on the depth I'm fishing
  19. I dunno about his state - but MN, private or public waters, use of panfish as bait is still illegal.
  20. As 12Pound said - check your regs - here in MN, we can't even use bluegills/bream as bait.
  21. Just for S&G, I signed in with my e-mail - and yep...my points balance is still there.
  22. Something you should know.... "Little-known secret: Almost every earthworm in most of the U.S. came from somewhere else. Native earthworms all but disappeared more than 10,000 years ago, when glaciers from a Pleistocene ice age wiped them out. A few survived further south. But today, virtually all earthworms north of Pennsylvania are non-native." So what you get/dig up basically from the Mason-Dixon line north ARE European earthworms...yep, another invasive species.
  23. Ya, this stuff is wet and heavy....just about killed me getting a single shovel-width path from the street to the front door. Dunno how I'm gonna get the car dug out...and I got an appointment for immunotherapy tomorrow morn I gotta get to
  24. The voltage might be good - but batteries wear out. Old batteries that have been discharged/recharged numerous times will hold less AH than a new battery. If your batteries are that old, the 100ah listed might only be 60-70ah in reality....or even less.
  25. Ya, my strap goes over with the security hook under as well...that's how all our boats (going back to the two Dad had back when I was a teen) have been.
