  1. Any ideas if loomis will bring back a sub 7 ft 4 power rod ? I absolutely love my 783c conquest for skipping but I sure would love a 4 power version. To me, it would be similar to the p5 tachyon shaft
  2. I’m looking for a compact jig similar to the Ike’s mini flip or swim series that I can pitch into lay downs and skip around docks and grass. Typically, I swim a lethal weapon iv and use the same for pitching just about anything but I would like something that is more compact and skips better. Bonus points are a good keeper as I hear the middle baits Kiki keepers aren’t gray nor is the overall quality. I do not like to use superglue. A heavier hook is needed as it’s almost going to be throw on braid to 18lb + leader given the cover. I know there’s small companies that make great stuff so please let me know
  3. It doesn’t have an sv spool??
  4. Conquest 783c with a steez ct sv. The soft tip on the mbr rods combined with it being short and the sv is a dream.
  5. If you wanted a shorter rod then the 843. If you want a longer rod then the emtf. in my opinion, at least in the xx line up the emtf is a unicorn. No, it’s not the lightest but it can be used from anything from a crank bait to a jig. It’s special.
  6. Are you saying you used the new ct for the last year ? you saw previous damage to the old ct gear ? thoughts on if the new hyper gear will fit in the older ct
  7. Conquest 842c 783c or 843c with a steez ct sv over the aldebaran.
  8. Careful, I felt the same way and now all my reels are ct's. It's not good on the wallet. Sv's for pitching hands down. I've owned them all.
  9. Also agree, while the boost spool is nice if do you're going for long casting with heavier lurrss but it's trash for skipping compared to the standard sv's. It's the main reason I haven't bought more zillions.
  10. I was meaning the expride. What's wrong with the 7'3 in the Florida cover?
  11. Consider the 7'3xh if you want a flipping stick capable of punching without bringing out an 8 footer
  12. I don't think I saw the answer of the jdm question. Is this going to be a jdm offering that's sold on the jdm sites?
  13. I've got buddies with the new nrx +s and say they still have the gonna break feeling. I can't speak to the new nrxs but the conquest always has you wanting to lean in harder and you feel it's never gonna break.
  14. With the pricing on nrx + I'd strongly consider the conquest version.
  15. Emtf!! Don't believe those that say it's a moving bait rod, they clearly haven't used it. I've got $700 rods and the emtf is irreplaceable. I was throwing a half oz jig on, 20ft grass lines during the summer. Fantastic chatterbait rod, Texas rig rod, spinnerbaits, think mbr. It's amazing. No, it's not a nrx jwr rod but it doesn't try to be. It's one of the most versatile rods I've ever used.
  16. Is this going or starting as a jdm option or a usdm? The item numbers look the exact same as the original CT so it's hard to find them. Also. Besides the longer handle and loss of individual colors between ratios is there any difference between the original and new CT? I know the CT is marketed with all of the hyper marketing but I'm wondering if the gears or anything is actually different. It's being marketed as a more durable reel and gear but isn't it the same dura-aluminium gear?
  17. 783c conquest or equivalent. Glx's are nice but don't let anybody fool you. The conquest is ?. The weight to power ratio is unreal. In my hands the glx is heavy in comparison.
  18. I have the 842c with an aldebaran and with a steez ct sv, I think the steez is much more reliable throwing light stuff on the 842
  19. I don't think so nor do I think the "new steez" is really any different from the old ct except it has a longer handle
