I’ve been converting all my handles to the daiwa 100mm paddle handles. This come from either the tatula 100mm or the steez a. Tackle trap had been my go to. Does anybody know where else to get them ?

Have had some killer days smallmouth fishing with a kanata we the heavier hooks put on it that tactical bassin recommended. Heavier hooks make it not rise as much

I live in GR. I have friends that have a place on the PM for the salmon run and I fly to florida where I keep an old ranger at my moms just a few miles from headwaters and three forks marsh. I’m pretty luck as it is.

Sounds like Palm Bay? My mom lives there. It’s where I keep my 2000 ranger. She lives right down the street from three forks. That’s my stomping ground over the winter. Fly down from Grand Rapids Mi Spent some time on the Harris chain. A lake front property there (nothing crazy) is something I’m considering. I love the diversity of the chain

Looking a building the ultimate wish list for living near or on the water. What are your guys dream locations to live near or on the water if property cost wasn’t an issue. I love the idea of living on or near chain of lakes as it often has diversity. Also, I believe there are some areas that you could have diversity in freshwater/brackish/salt ? Maybe something in the south with red fishing and bass on or near one body of water. If you could have anything from a fisherman’s perspective where would it be ? You only live for once, dream big.

That 783c is my ninja sword for skipping. I can skip a six inch senko into a shot glass under a dock 783c and a steez ct sv is a skipping machine

I’ve standardized my handles and knobs to the daiwas 100mm handle with paddle knobs. I enjoy the consistency. With that said, I still have many Shimanos that I’d like to a minimum have the same knobs. Maybe the knobs fit the Shimano handles and I should go that way ?

Can you put a daiwa handle on a Shimano casting reel?

I agree, they have replaced two for me over two years. I’m not worried about that, I do worry that they will get broken early in a long trip (7 days) and the rod is out of commission for the rest of the trip. That’s happened to me .

I’ve had the NRX 893 (before plus) bottom contact 1 & 2. The bottom contact 2 is certainly lighter and more sensitive than the bc1. The bc 2 is as sensitive in my hands as the NRX. As for build quality I love the steez but do worry about my guides as I’m rough on them.

Throw on a 90 or 100mm paddle handle from the tackle trap. It really makes it nice.

I’m stuck on this. What gives the best opportunity to catch fish between this two options 30lb straight low vis braid (more senko action but braid connected to hook?) 30lb hi vis braid to 15-20lb gold label leader (less senko action but clear leader)

Do you think 30lb straight braid preserves the unique senko action and do you think the fishing straight 30lb braid would be more productive than braid to a 15-20lb leader?

So, 30lb braid is the same diameter as 8lb mono. Will that give the senko the same unique senko action ?
