Another SEI Lower Unit Question
I decided to buy a dedicated boat to leave at my parents in Florida instead of hauling my ranger 1300 miles there. I didn’t pay a ton for the boat, it’s a 2000 518vx with a 2012 Mercry Optimax 200HP.Long story short, the lower unit is trash. My mechanic is struggling to find anything in the area under $2,600 used that’s OEM. I’ve always heard SEI is an option, in fact, that bad one that’s on it, is a 2016 SEI that clearly wasn’t taken care of. After a phone conversation with SEI they will sell me the sei 216 gearcase that will bolt up. From my understanding, at some point, they stopped offering their 3 year warranty on merc motors consider “pro xs” or 200HP and up. I know there are a lot of reviews, mostly bad but some just fine. I’m interested to know if anyone has experience running this lower unit on this motor. This boat is literally going to get used six to eight days a year so I’m not looking to put much money into it and I’m already upside down from it having more problems than I thought. Any input is appreciated .

Shimano Antares DC MD XG vs Dawai Steez CT SV
Do they make brass gears for the Steez ct?

Shimano Antares DC MD XG vs Dawai Steez CT SV
The workhorse steez sv uses their aluminum gears without issue, why would you assume the CT would have problems?

13 Fishing Muse Black
What model did you get? I've had several. They are decent rods.

Anyone have the Megabass P5 Tachyon Shaft?
Yes it can do a heavy wire swim jig. You just need to make sure you keep the pressure as to not let unload

Help...I think I got scammed
Asian portal doesn't send you anything. Your product will show up within a few days, approximately half the time tacklewarehouse takes. Calm down, you'll get it.

2000 Ranger 518VX Prop Wash
I recently bought a 2000 ranger 518vx with a 2014 Merc 200 Optimax, it also has a hydraulic jack plate. I have the same jack plate on my 2008 z21 with a 250 that I also experienced prop wash with. Like my 08, I'm not worried about top end speed but want the quickest holeshot and handling. The 2000 blows out at any height/trim of the jackplate without extremely baby-ING the hot foot and even then I often can't get it too plane. What would be the best prop for shallow water holesshots, four blade? I put a mark croxton razor on my bigger ranger and it takes off quick. Worth noting, the boat does have poles and four batteries. Also, what is the open market resale value of its current prop (25 pitch tempest plus)

Sealing damaged fiberglass

6'7 ish MH/H Jig, plastics pitching/skipping rod
I recently bought the Megabass p5 6'7 h tachyon shaft jig skipping rod. I've really enjoyed using this stick in close quarters bushes & skipping. I'm looking for an alternative that I can keep in florida that's not quite as expensive. I also have a 13 fishing envy warranty claim that I could use to potentially get a 6'7 MH muse black to try. Any help or recommendations is appreciated. All prices are welcome

Sealing damaged fiberglass
I don't think I'll be flipping this boat over anytime soon. It can't be repaired any other way?

Sealing damaged fiberglass
I bought an older ranger that needs some work. How can I seal these exposed bits of fiberglass to ensure no water intrusion?

Current GLX 843C Mbr Weight
Do any of you guys know what the weight of this rod is? I saw on tackle tour that the redesigned current one weighs more than the old model. Is that true?

G Loomis Lifetime Warranty Over?
Okay, everything I've read is speculation. It woukd appear Loomis hasn't done anything with their warranty as it currently stands

What DC model reel compares to the Steez SV CT in size?
I can't speak for the antares DC but none of those others. The CT is awesome and absolutely small. The DC reels are NOT small. When comparing a curado K frame to the steez ct they aren't even close. The CT is WAY smaller.

G Loomis Lifetime Warranty Over?
I've heard some rumblings that Loomis was going to do away with their lifetime warranty. I've also heard that they already started this and made rods non transferable with serial numbers registered and printed on the rods, however, I haven't seen anything official or on their site. Can anyone confirm? Also, if you they do go that route do you believe if you buy their rods before they do (if they didn't already) do you think they will Grandfather previous owners rods in?

2020 Jdm Megabass P5 Destroyers
I have the super destroyer albeit limited use, I don't think it's capable of heavy jigs, especially 3/4 and up I ended up with the steez bottom contact rod and I'm very happy. I couldn't find ways to keep the 893 in my hands. It's a special rod but it's tip heavy nature required a bantam weight reel and I didn't like it.

Daiwa Steez Limited and New Alphas
This makes no sense. The bias here is comical.

Shimano Antares DC MD XG vs Dawai Steez CT SV
My opinion is these reels aren't really close to one another. To start, the weight difference is nearly a year 2 1/2 ounces. That's a huge deal when deciding on what rod to pair the reel with. Imo they aren't in any way interchangeable. Second, the size, the CT is more compact, I enjoy that over most anything else but some others don't care. Third, antares will probably casting further but likely wouldn't handle lighter weight baits as well or skipping. For my stile of I'm ct all the way but I prefer compact and light.

Daiwa Steez Limited and New Alphas
Scooby...... And half of the fishing industry is click bait, including, diawa & shimanos new treasure hunt and its a secret reel unvailing's.

Daiwa Steez Limited and New Alphas
Calm down, this isn't tackle tour forums. I personally enjoy the in depth breakdown of the reels and think the video was good. I guess I dont have half a brain because I'm not a diawa user. I was excited to hear about a new high end reel and was thankful for the video. I ended spending my money on zillions and CTs. I'm not sure why there is any reason to be nasty.
