  1. No bro, it's the brand spanken new, new jdm zillion. And, it's basically the same size as the metanium b, at least in my hands It's true, the reel looks and feels great. I'm sure I'll like it but it's just doesn't feel like "the one" because of size. My understanding was the steez sv tw was basically the same frame as the 2020 tatula sv. Too me, it's just a odd bit too wide. Is the alphas sv CT capable of handing stuff like 1/2oz jigs with a full trailer? I thought I read that it excelled greatly at near bfs weights and got wild over 3/8oz. I could be a wrong. Is there a big difference between the alphas sv 105 and the alphas ct sv? I feel like the steez ct sv frame is what I want but I can't bring myself to spend that. Maybe the alpha CT is similar in frame? Would the pixy 68 be able takw an sv spool?
  2. Dawia guys, I'm looking for a dawia reel that has a smaller frame than those I've been buying. I've purchased two dedicated setups for skipping but am struggling to find what fits well. Im typically a shimano guy and have figured out that I really love the aldebaran and curado mgl 70 frame size. Ive got the new zillion, love it, but it's similar in size to the met b that I find just a tad bit too big to be "the one" so I'm looking for a dawia reel preferably in the sub 6.5oz ish range that either has an sv spool or can take one. I do have a 2020 tatula, it sits low but is really wide. Does dawia have anything similar frame wise to the aldebaran or curado 70? Pixy?
  3. If we're talking high end and the glx 844 is fantastic I'd think the conquest would be a stellar option
  4. Depends on rod but the reel can toss that light of weight if the rod has a little tip.
  5. The new zillion on the p5 SD ?
  6. Good options out there but they aren't full cork. Nrx 894c & Steez AGS Bottom Contact Rod.
  7. Love smackdown and 40lb has become my go to. I struggled with dig in on 30lb but many love it. Remember 30lb smackdown is thin
  8. On another forum a member says the new steez Ltd spool weighs 13 grams vs the 13.4 gram zillion spool. Is a 13.4 gram spool heavy?
  9. Because normal people used a left handled reel ☺ Question about the booster sv spool. In the promo videos there's a good amount on focus on casting distance. If you were buying sv reels to skip as thier primary focus do you think this new booster spool may be less stable at skipping?
  10. I can't wait to try mine. These are gonna be ? on tachyon shaft and super destroyer
  11. Do you think the stiffness negative effects bladed jigs?
  12. I'm thinking about 12lb marionette special on my aldebaran 51 and conquest 842c for flukes, whacky rigs, light Texas rigs. Then, I need to decide between 16 or 18 lb for the p5 tachyon shaft and super destroyer. These will be for jigs, skipping docks, chatterbaits and do all. Do those line weights an applications make sense? Do any of you guys have openings opinions about that line in those sizes
  13. I'm guessing by your response that you're not a braid to leader guy. It seems like when you come from braid to leader most things feel stretchy
  14. Does this mean it's less or more stretch than the other shooter variants? Is the fact that's its the original mean the other ones are better? Serious question
  15. Does anybody have any experience with this variant of shooter? I'm looking at trying it in 16-18lb as my mainline as another attempt to try floro over braidto leader. I tried 12lb tatsu last year, and it was like fishing with a rubber band, to me.
  16. What have been your favorite sizes of gold label leader?
  17. My understanding is r 18 hard is a mainline. I too could be wrong.
  18. I too am a smackdown to leader guy. Most of my leaders have consisted of sunline fc 100 in 16-20lb.ive considerd trying that Lyn no fade dark braid for heavy punching, gold label in 12-20lb for leaders and wouldn't mind one more attempt at a straight floro mainline. My problem is I tried 12lb tatsu as a main line, and it felt like a rubber band to me. Id love feedback as to know if there are less stretchy main floors that are good, maybe shooter? Maybe going up in size limits stretch,? I've also heard about seaguar r18 hard But can't get much detail.
  19. Great idea! Thank you! I do have time. Great advice
  20. Awesome, thank you so much! What years are you thinking in that price range? Obviously, condition matters
  21. I'm looking for a most likely older boat that will be kept in south Florida at my parents house. It's become clear that driving a boat back & forth from northern Michigan to south Florida is just not going to work. This boat wouldn't be used a ton so it doesn't have to be special. Reliable and decent would be nice. Also, is it possible that anything older is going to have rod lockers big enough for a 7'11 flipping stick? Highly unlikely ? What older glass or even tin boats could be had in that range with decent hulls, decent motors and a good size deck. Any info is appreciated. It doesn't have to be a boat that's actively on sale just something to look for.
  22. I don't know why they call this rod a medium, it's got serious power but the light tip allows you to throw anything. Honestly, these are one of those unique sticks that I think I'll always want to keep in my lineup.
