  1. Been catching decent numbers but generally on the small side. Biggest so far so 3.5#, the patterns have been strange.
  2. Went out Saturday AM. Got 15 all between 2-3# and every one on frogs in 3-4 fow. Couldnt get them to bite on anything else.
  3. Caught 3 pre spawn fish saturday. All in 6-7 fow. We went up shallow to take a look and saw many on beds. Been a tough bite on my local lakes the last two weeks.
  4. Same, they are solid and reputable
  5. Sizes are pretty limited but some good deals
  6. I tried it last year for the first time and had a lot of luck with it actually. I was using my tore up senkos and was able to get fish on the tougher days. Pretty fun fighting them on light tackle too.
  7. This is crazy to watch
  8. Yep same here, got one last year and it's been great.
  9. Lund just posted this on their facebook. A picture of the first shot in the video
  10. Square bills produce great for me in the fall. Usually in 4-8 feet of water, outside of weed edges
  11. Caught 8 between first light and about 8:30 am Saturday. All on a whopper plopper 130 right outside the pad line. The rest of the morning was a tougher bite for sure, caught a couple on a little john md and a few more on ned rigs. Nothing was very repetitive after those morning top water fish. I had only caught a couple pike all year and now all of a sudden they are back and hitting everything, thankfully I didnt lose any gear but they do get quite annoying. Big bass of the day went 4lb 3oz which was my second fish of the morning on the plopper.
  12. I wonder if that policy changed or if I just got lucky.
  13. I probably could have made mine work in 3-4 feet but that just wasnt worth it for me. It would be a lot better on a harder bottom lake.
  14. I bought a 10' kingpin pole and tried to use it on the local lakes I go to. The pole went so deep in the soft bottom it was totally useless. I returned it
  15. I had a casting Vendetta with the same issue. Local shop fixed it for $7. Abu actually sent me a brand new rod and didnt make me break the old one so I got a second rod for $7 essentially.
  16. Went Saturday 6am-noon. Could not get one bite on top water, senko, jig, or crankbait. Switched to a ned rig (which i've never fished before) and started hammering them. Best 5 went for 17 and caught one after another between 2.5 and 4.25#. I was surprised at the sizes from the small bait and it was a lot of fun working it. Most were 8-12 feet of water but the 4.25 was up closer to 6. I used a lifted jig offset ned 1/8oz and just a scrap piece of green pumpkin senko that I had saved from a chewed up full worm.
  17. Can't believe they allow them to be stacked, thanks for the heads up
  18. 8 out of 10 people I run into that fish here in MN act like walleye are the only species on earth and catching bass doesnt count
  19. Went out Saturday AM. Only managed 4 with one being 2.5# and the rest being much smaller. Got those 4 by docks on a spinnerbait and could not get them to bite anything else. The docks where I caught these never have fish, this is the first time i've caught anything on that end of the lake and got skunked everywhere else. The visibility was much lower this weekend. The lake I go to doesn't have much bottom definition, it's a long flat transition into deeper water and very soft bottom. I don't remember the last time I was out there and caught less than 10.
  20. Got 13 Saturday AM but they were all small and couldnt find any pattern. They all seemed to be in random spots and all different lures. I need to get better at deeper water fishing
  21. Team Daiwa S 103 HVA, although I still use it so does it count??
  22. Who's going out this weekend? Anyone care to share their strategy with this heat wave?
  23. Camping World owns Gander and Overtons. That guy has no clue
  24. I pulled 4 on a frog on my first 10 casts on Saturday at 7:30am. 5 minutes later the topwater bite was off. Did ok the next few hours on a senko with 3 more but it wasnt outstanding. They still seemed shallow but maybe I should venture out a little deeper
  25. The big ones are fun, the small ones couldn't be more annoying around here. If they didnt steal $15 lures I wouldn't care lol
