I'm surprised no one is talking about today's tourney.  It's been great so far.  Not a lot of scorable bass caught yet but that's to be expected with the minimum increased.  There have been some great fish caught so far, multiple 5 pounders.  People should really enjoy this one.

I've only got to see bits and pieces, but from the little time I have watched it seems as though they are targeting any where they can find some current. Chris Lane being the main one it is showing when I am able to glance over but I saw MD Jr and Todd Faircloth fishing similar areas.

Fairclothe, Lane and Browning are all fishing within about 20 yards of each other.

I'm rooting for Dustin connell

I just started listening. When I turned it on, JT was talking about trolls living under bridges.  First day too.

That's insane! It's like fishing the salmon run in upstate NY in the fall.  Elbow to elbow...not much fun.

Gotta take advantage of it while they can.  They don't know when the pump will be shut off and once it is that spot will be worthless.  They said it's usually not running this early in the year.

Must have been a morning bite today, the leaderboard didn't change much after lunch (I didn't watch anything tho just going by the chart)

Yeah.  It's slowed down a lot for everyone.

I like the new minimum weight, I like the changes in the broadcast as they are spending more time on the anglers

It’s definitely more entertaining than BASS right now. I’m watching both and BASS coverage is almost pure silence watching a guy fish. I need some commentary. 
 

Edit: It must have been different coverage because it changed up to have some commentary now. It was really boring before. 

This event has been my first time watching this format. Typically I don’t get to watch much of the live stuff in any tournament format.  I’ve read a lot of good and bad but I have to say I have enjoyed this thus far. 

Is Jason Christie fishing? I don't mean that in a bad way or joking either. A zero on day one and a zero so far on day 2. Has anyone that is able to listen heard them say anything?

Yeah, really surprising to see someone like Christie fail to catch a keeper after 2 days on Eufaula prespawn. It seems tailor made for his skill set. Edwin and Ike both had really tough day 1's but rallied to make the cut on day 2. You win some and lose some I guess.

I did get verification that Jason did fish both days.  Conditions sure seemed to suit Oklahoma anglers, but it sure didn't work out for many. Personally... I think that is Jason would have have a BASS Legends option, he would have joined BP and the G'man to come back to BASS. He fished the first BASS Open, but not real sure if the schedules allow him to fish all of them .... just don't think his head is in to the BPT.

I'll have to admit I love the changes that they have made.

As a viewer nothing to me was more exciting than to watch the 2 cut days for groups A and B

Now that they added the Win and advance to the finals, it creates 2 different races on the cut day.

 

It really seems like they are listening to the feedback and adjusting accordingly

Chris Lane has a knack for finding discharge pipes, he won an elite event fishing one for 4 days

I agree with you, he does seem like a guy that is better suited to a 5 fish format. He very well may be plotting his way back.
