  1. Got to get that Ci4+!!
  2. Almost everything should be open by this weekend!
  3. Line is usually 50% off. Hopefully that’s the same this year.
  4. Some of you may have heard about this but I need to get a few to try this summer on the creek. Jackall Micro Pompadour!! Carries a hefty price tag of $27 for such a small bait, only 42mm. I’d guess it’s worth it though. Seems like the perfect size for creek fish.
  5. Same. I was going to order one. ?
  6. Air temps in the 40s. Lucky to get out for an hour and catch three on a swimbait. My buds were in kayaks and caught nothing (haha) while I caught 10lbs of bass from the shore. All three came in a period of 6 minutes, 4 casts. In the order of the pics below: 4'5, 2'14, 2'7. Trying to get out this week over thanksgiving but it might be a little cold. I had called it a season a few weeks before but couldn't not accept an invite to fish a new location. This was my first time fishing for largemouth (as opposed to smallmouth) in a few months and might have to go back soon.
  7. Any recommendations. I’m open to up to $130 with discounts. Diawa Tatula 150?? Slx??
  8. Steady retrieve is best but some days it’s like a popper, jerk and sit.
  9. Poppers (megabass) and whopper poppers are smallie killers! But they will eat just about any topwater.
  10. I have heard good things about both. I would likely pair it with a MH Fury or MH Curado. Anyone have experience with either?
  11. Let me know what you think I will probably get one to put in a tackle warehouse backpack (the best backpack for the money IMO). I use a lot of ned rig and guppy heads and let me know if you think they will fit. Thanks!
  12. How do you guys store your hooks and weights? In a box? The original package? Anyone. Have either the Plano edge or bass mafia terminal tackle storage boxes? I’m not sure how they work as they seem to have a lot of small parts.
  13. I’m gonna go broke with all those poppers!!
  14. Any bait ideas or strategies? I’m going to hit it from the shore. I’m thinking jerkbait, frog- there’s a big shallow weeded flat, and dropshot?
  15. I just came up with this idea- map as many great fishing spots on google maps (have all the people on this website help) and I want to fish them throughout my entire life. I would like to have at least one per county in the entire lower 48. If you would like to recommend publicly please do or if you don’t please pm me. I already have about 50 lakes from bass master top 100 and am working on adding the rest. I really hope this turns out cool but it will take a group effort! Once I’m done I will post a pic of the map with all the markers on it so you guys can see how many locations were mapped. Once I fish each location I will talk about it here and explain how it went. THANK YOU!!! (some lakes are very big and if you could recommend a launch area or section of it that would be great too!)
  16. Labor Day sale buy- Citica, SLX 6’10 M, replacement hooks and 3 packs of 4” sweet tator pie ochos!
  17. With the tackle warehouse sale both the slx for 99 and the citica are both around the same price. I was wondering which one you guys would buy. I’m pairing it with a 6’10 M slx. Thanks!
  18. Anyone use these techniques? I would think they would do well? I am tempted to try some now that we are in the fall. Any recommendations?
  19. Honestly the same thing happened to me when I was first starting out. Small pond but no bites. I knew bass were in there but I couldn’t catch them no matter what. I can’t tell you what happened but i fished many other places ALONG with fishing the pond and eventually I started catching fish there. I would say to make sure and fish other places that may be easier and with time and experience you will start to catch fish in there. It could be that the pond just sucks in the summer months. Maybe take a break and try in a month or two. Wait for the vegetation to die down. Try the spring. If there are any bass in there you will be able to see them spawning in the spring too.
