2-piece MH/H casting rod?
Who makes them? The only decent ones I can find are St. Croix premier series (PC66MHF2 and PC70HF2). I'd like to keep it in that pricerange too so no JDM stuff (and their 2pc all seem to be at the handle). thx

photochromic sunglasses?
My current pair of shades are a little too dark for low light conditions so I am mulling over a new pair. I dont want to be swapping lenses or glasses all day so I was thinking about going photochromic - anyone have a pair and have any input on how well it works? Brand/model would be nice, thx!

Add over-stocking/undersizing to that list and you have 99% of the people who walk into a LFS.

Can't accurately cast with spinning reel...why?
I just started using a baitcaster and it feels like you have to release the casting reel a lot earlier than the spinning reel - something to keep in mind if you are going the other way.

MegaStrike fish attractant
It stays on real well. I fished a hard bait last week with this stuff on it and put it away, took it out yesterday and got a handful of slimy @#$ on my hand! Whether it works or not though... thats another question. I haven't felt like it has made any difference. I just have it for lubing swimbaits with.

swimbait getting bumped but no hook-ups...
It might just be small fish slashing at the bait - its surprising the amount of small fish that attack these swimbaits almost their own size. You COULD add a trap/stinger despite what RW says if you want to see whats doing it, but like he says, increases the chances of you hanging up a lot.

Lighting Rods
That's a new one to me. Sounds like a rod holder issue or something. ? Sounds like it was tightened down a little too much. The foregrip on LRs screws down to hold the reel in the seat. This may not apply to all models though. I only own one so I can't speak for them all. yes i have a UL and a ML spinning, both models have the foregrips that screw down over the reel. I think its either a poor design or poor craftsmanship (both?) but either way they both broke the same way. These rods dont see any time in rod holers (unless you were talking about me! ;D). I have a few other rods that work in this manner and they are fine - the cork is the issue here.

M&P weedless crank?
Anyone ever use the Meat and Potatoes weedless crankbait before? I have a few deep divers that I am always scared to use from shore cuz ive lost too many on the bottom but these look like they might make it out ok...

baitcasting reels - drag, casting knob, brakes???
So I recently got my first casting reel - a Cardiff 301A. I have never used one of these before, always using spinning before. Things were pretty simple back then - adjust drag knob, flip bail, cast. With this new reel, it has many more adjustments than I am used to. How do the drag, the VBS brakes, and the casting knob all relate? I am unsure where to set the various things at in relation to one another. It is on a 8' swimbait rod BTW. thx!

how can you tell ?
I've found in my limited experience, a fish vs a rock, the rock feels like you ran into something, vs the fish feeling it like ran into you. The pressure on the line is also a different flavor with a fish than a piece of inanimate object. Its sorta hard to describe in words, and doesn't apply every time of course, but thats how I differentiate it.

Vicious line?
I use the 10lb fluro as leader material on my braid spools - very strong/abrasion resistant as stated. Tried to use one on a whole spool and its so stiff that I ripped it all off.
