What Are Your Confidence Colors?
Plastics - Black/Blue and GreenPumpkin/Chartruse. If its a craw black body with blue claws or greenpumkin with chartruse claws. Same with tubes or worms. Ive just always caught alot of fish on those two color combos. Cranks - I like natural colors like the silver with black back or blue back. The bluegil patterns also work for me. Buzzbaits/Spinnerbaits - white mixed with some silver but mostly white. I can see them better myself and I know the fish can see them as well.

Who's Watchin The Classic?
Ill be watching it cause after watching all the war room footage it sounded like some stuff was going on out on the water that they didnt want to talk about. Thats the main reason I'm watching. And to see how they were doing most of their catching. The only one they really talked about so far was the sinko with the blade hanging off the back of it.

Berkley Power Craw?
Ok I took my lunch hour and ran over to the local ranger dealer that has a big discount baits bin and dug through it to see if maybe they had some in there. I was able to dig up one bag of power craws. After that I know for a fact that I am now looking for the Tournament Craw that Vinny was talking about lol. I still bought the bag i found cause they were only 3 bucks but i am looking for that tournament craw. Ill have to check out strike kings craw and see how it looks. I have some of the paca chunks and they do alright I just have alot of confidence in that dang Tournament Craw......I know its just a head game LOL

Berkley Power Craw?
Yeah I cant even find pictures of what I'm looking for out there. Might have to learn how to make a resin mold this weekend lol. I might actually be looking for the tournament craw. I cant tell because i pulled them out of the package and put them in a worm binder. If I had known the future I woulda kept the bag so that I knew for sure lol. live and learn.

Berkley Power Craw?
Does anybody know if Berkley discontinued the Power Craw in the 3in version? I haven't had to buy them in a long time and am running out. They are my favorite trailer for a jig that I make. I saw they have the power claw out but its not what I'm looking for. Might have to find me a new confidence bait but I'd love to find some of these somewhere. Might just have to go into the shop and make my own mold if it comes down to it. I'm just getting back bass fishing after a few years away to cure a racing addiction that I have since quit and payed the debt so now I'm back and they musta done away with these in my absence lol.

Why Are The Trades Being Forsaken?
I dont look down on the trades. I had the most fun when I was working in that field. I went to college for computer programming because thats what really interests me in life not because I was pushed into going. When I got out in May of 09 things were tough and I spent the summer working in a welding shop and began learning the trade there. Then I was hired out at a chemical plant and spent 6 or 8 months as a fire watch for the welders there. Most of those guys are still really good friends of mine. Through working in the plant like I was able to land a computer job in the plant and thats what I'm currently doing. I love what I'm doing now but if things went south I wouldnt think twice about going back to the welding shop. I still do work for them on the side if they need my help with their computers. Id start there tomorrow out in the shop if I had to. Traveling as a welder and Pipefitting in the plants is good money and might get old after awhile but work is definitly available.

Largemouth Movement Through The Water Column.
So is that what they mean when you hear the talk about using the contour lines as migration routes or roads for the fish to move around basically? I know contour lines dont exist in nature like on a map but you get what I mean. A deep water fish finds that path that stays on the same depth and follows off a point back in to a cut or tributary something like that. This is all very interesting I am enjoying the discussion.

Why Don't We Show Some Excitement People!
The funny part about watching it live is when they break in to film an espn segment. They gotta plead with the crowd to make some noise so they can film it as soon as its over goes back to silent lol.

Kevin Wirth?
Sounded like in another article I read he wasn't to happy with B.A.S.S and how they were running things and was kinda tired of putting up with em. I hope his new business's pan out for him.

Local Walmarts Fishing Dept Upgrade
Mine upgraded as well i bought a pflueger spinning reel and a berkley shock spinning rod for 40 a piece. But they were carrying all the KVD crankbaits and a ton of plastics. Definitly nice to have a store nearby carrying some good stuff.

Fishing Magazines
I like bassmaster still but I gave up on In-Fisherman a long time ago. The Lindner's left and it became the Doug Stange total guide to swim baits and carp fishing which lost me.

Rigging A Pickup For Bass Fishing.
I was looking at those earlier. I dont have the super short bed like on the crew cab trucks it has the Standard 6 foot 6 bed. I think I can rig something up like this to sit diagonally in the bed. I know I can fit at least a 7' 6' if I do it that way. And if I get them up off the bed I can store everything else under them when traveling.

Rigging A Pickup For Bass Fishing.
Thanks guys you gave me some options to start looking at. This is going to be my hunting vehicle as well. It came with the heavier off road tires on it already so that's saving some time right there. Ill have to see if my rods will fit in the cab with me I haven't tried that out yet.

Rigging A Pickup For Bass Fishing.
Not sure where I should post this but I just bought my dream truck last week as well as my first full sized truck. I am working on how I am going to rig it out for my fishing. Primarily I am worried about storing my stuff while traveling to lakes that are further away. My boat right now is a 16' sylvan Super Snapper so there is not much storage at all and absolutely no dry storage. I have been looking at the fiberglass tonneau covers and am thinking about going with that and putting an organizer system for hauling my tackle down with maybe a rack for my rods or something. I was just curious if any of you guys had setup your trucks any special way for traveling and fishing. I do have the standard bed so I know my longer rods are going to have to sit diagonal in the bed. It will have to be easily removable because I also haul a stock car to the race track for my buddy some times and need to be able to switch everything out to haul race parts and tools rather easy. Any ideas you guys have or pictures of trucks you had done up would be awesome.

Ike’s Bass Class Debutes On BassResource.com
I have been reading a lot of Ike's articles and bought his finesse fishing dvd the other day and the guy has a real knack for teaching. I enjoy his stuff that he has got out. Hopefully his new show he is working on will be more instructional.

River Bass
I fish the Illinois River near Marseilles a lot in the summer time and as said before cover is your best bet. The shores are just littered with wood cover. Some marinas have rip rap at there entrance that they dont mind you fishing. Only time they mind usually is if you go inside the marina. I have caught a ton of fish of the rip rap outside the marinas. Being as its all main river pretty much its a bank beater situation. One thing I have noticed and I could be totally wrong but paying attention to the carp around you helps me out in finding fish. Basically if I see carp around everywhere I move cause I haven't ever found many bass to catch around a group of carp. Again I am sure some folks beg to differ but that is what I found. Another thing I have found that I dont see to much in lakes is in the river here throwing the bait up on shore and dragging it back into the water gets bit a lot too. The fish will stick their noses it seems right up against the bank in some dirty water conditions and that is the only way sometimes I can get a bite.
