+1 on Evers. he did a whole segment the other day about brush piles and i dont think had his jersey on once. Was nice to see a normal lookin dude out fishing and sinking brush piles. Ive meet him before as well and he was a stand up guy as well.

I had that problem to was fishing for catfish and ended up walking home with a full limit of 5 pound plus stripers. Been fishing for em that way every year since lol.

I have seen Ott Defoe do a couple of em. Tim Horton had one a couple weeks ago. But I agree there are a hell of alot of KVD segments. But hey the guy is good and hes a proven money magnet for baits. I still like Edwin Evers segments the best.

I was checking out a couple videos that that guy had up on youtube and hes got one where Rick Clunn is talking about KVD saying hes just gettin lucky and he dont have the skills to stay up with the old guys lol. Fun to watch videos from back then.

Yeah I have only ever caught trout there myself. Still would be cool if some walleye could survive and thrive in there. I just dont know if they could handle it when the water gets real low and clear.

I know this is a bass forum, but i heard that some walleye made it into the white river in arkansas that were making life difficult for the trout guys. This was heresay from a couple fisherman down there on the river was just wondering if anybody else had heard anything about this. I kinda want to go down there and fish the river for walleye myself now lol.

Thats why the winter hobby is knocking those outta the sky lol

This is what they started doing at the local lake by me to try to crack down on the ones doing this. They dont expect the undercover to be out there. The fisherman that are breaking these rules knowingly bug the hell outta me.

I haven't heard of any television coverage. I have been watching the live weighins on the site though. My buddy is fishing the coangler side so I have been watching the live video they had of the weigh-ins.

I would have my phone out there because its more of a tool in this case. Plus 3/4 of the info can be captured by the phone automatically by just pressing one button to tell it you caught a fish. But your right it was an idea i had. I like to hear the feedback like that on it.

I am taking the computer nerd approach. Im working on a droid app that i can record fish info on the water and it automatically transmits to my desktop so i can look at the numbers at home. I'm in IT for a living so i have time to think up crap like this LOL. Ill get a quarter of the way done and say screw it and open an excel document LOL.

I havent been able to find Lindner's Angling Edge. Last I looked at their calendar they had no times down for Versus. But they have all their 2011 episodes posted on their website you can watch. Hopefully they do this with their 2012 episodes as well.

MyOutdoorTv.com has a ton of fishing and hunting shows on it. They are mostly older episodes right now but you can kill some time wading through all the episodes that they have of so many different shows.

Saw the new episodes started today on Versus for fishing shows finally. I caught Bill Dance the Bass Pro's and The Next Bite which are 3 of my favorites. I see Hank Parker is on tomorrow so I got the DVR set for that one. I know its a re-run but I see Outdoor also has a Bassmaster Tournament lined up for tomorrow as well. About time something other than deer hunting was on.

Good points. I dont paint my jigs either past a coat of powder paint. I have fun with the spinnerbaits though. I have mostly done them with rattle cans before though. I may give this a shot this winter just for something to play with.

I like using the rattles but I like the rattles that hang down off the jig. Not sure what they are called but you have two rattle chambers about 3 inches apart connected by a rubber strap. The strap just slides over the hook before the trailer goes on. No real explanation but I just seem to have had better luck with these.

Do you guys ever just put powder coat down as a base and then airbrush with regular paint over the top of it? I have been wondering about this for awhile. Was thinking though tha doing this and sealing with some Dev Con might make the bait to heavy. but i guess it doesnt matter as much here as it would on say a crankbait.
