Flw Bfl
I fished a couple tourneys in the Great Lakes division as a co-angler and I remember them being adamant about this that co-anglers weren't allowed on the front deck or to have control of the boat at any time. They might have changed it since but that was one big thing I remember. One big thing that I ran into was getting a plan for netting fish together with your boater. He might want the net laying a certain way or certain place. Its best to do it and not do what i did and think i knew better lol. First fish of the day resulted in him being in my face lol. Kept the net where it was suppose to be and we were friends the rest of the day. Never hurts to network when you are there either. You might be able to find a boater that will be pre fishing the next tournament and let you go up early and fish with him. I had a friend that did this and it helped him big time even being in the back of the boat for the whole tournament.

2011 Accomplishments, 2012 Goals
My 2011 was the year I finally got back into fishing like I should of been. I gave it up to try to pursue a dream in dirt stock car racing. This dream ended however in a barrel roll down the straight away and finishing up side down on the last night of 2010. So after finally saying I've had enough of this driving crap and sat back and realized I missed a whole Waterfowl season and hadn't bought a fishing license yet and it was September. After taking a step back and looking at everything I went back to crewing on the race cars which finally left time for fishing. 2011 was a year of getting gear back in check, remembering some of the old hot spots that I hadn't hit in awhile as well as finding new hot spots. Got my boat back together and working great and found this website for the 2nd time with my old account still intact. Since the racing season ended this year back in September I have been out on the water chasing bass and sauger having a blast and relaxing. 2012 can only get better. Going to run for a championship at the track with my best friend driving and me standing safely on the side lines with a wrench in my hand. Just started a new job that has actual vacation time so I am already planning a trip to Bull Shoals lake to hit up some bass and walleye next year, as well as a few weekends on pool 13 and pool 4 of the Mississippi river. So I'm ready for 2012 bring it on! New job means I can keep working towards that shiny Ranger i have been wanting since I was a kid lol

Ducks And Geese And Bass Oh My!
There are advantages to bass fishing during goose season. I can load decoys into the boat with my rods just as easy lol.

Bow Mount Trolling Motor
Mine rocks a little bit but its actually pretty stable for bass fishing from with a butt seat. For walleye fishing i have a regular fishing seat and it works pretty good too. Where I bass fish in the summer I have alot of pleasure boat traffic with the rough water some days and the boat doesnt skip a beat through it. Its the 14ft boots i see with decks on em that you can tip just as easily without one that I get nervous about.

Bow Mount Trolling Motor
I have a 94 or 96 Sylvan Super Snapper with what sounds like the same 1 foot extension on the bow. I mounted a Minn Kota Edge cable steer trolling motor on that front platform. The only thing i didnt do that I now have is a brace under that platform to help it with the flexing when you get on it. Mine also came with the bench seats and I built a casting deck over the front one and store my two batteries in that cast deck. Has worked good for me for a few years now. The TM head will hang over the side of the boat a few inches but not to horrible.

Lowrance Hds
I think cabala's also had a sale going on with the HD7 that included the structure scan for 1500

Navionics
The application might need 3g or constant wifi to work properly too. I dont know if they have made it possible to get 3g on the ipod touch yet but it not be so helpful to you on the water without that functionality.

Hds Question
Im speaking just straight from what i have read on other sites. Guys were reporting problems with the gps speed reading with the internal antenna if it was behind the wind screen. It was a group of walleye guys that said when they were trolling below speeds of 1.0 that the speed would jump around between .5 and 2.0 and they couldn't make it accurate unless they installed the external antenna.

Multi Purpose Boat
Thanks for the input Rhino. I figured that fiberglass would be impossible. I have been focused on the aluminum models. Alumacraft and War Eagle seemed to be the only two that offered the camo. I checked all over tracker and didn't see anything. I need to get over to the dealer and actually check the boat out and see if it will fit what I need.

Multi Purpose Boat
I have been looking around at replacing my 16' Sylvan with a bass boat. I have been looking around at boats that can be more multi purpose. I am one of the folks who when november comes the bass rods go away and the shot guns and duck decoys come out. Well I would like to find a good bass boat that comes with the camo color option. I have been looking at the Alumacraft All Welds in the 18 and 20 foot models. They come with the side console and casting deck as well as the camo design. I have also looked at the war eagle and they look like nice boats as well. I am leaning towards the Alumacraft because there is a dealer within a half hour from my home. I was curious if any of the members might of had any experience with these boats. I am also open to suggestions if anybody knows another manufacturer to look at that might offer something similar to this.

Bassmaster Elite Schedule 2012
Awesome to see Bull Shoals on the schedule. I may need to head down that weekend and check it out. That place has always been tough for me to fish on. Love to see how the pros take it on. I just noticed Lacrosse Wisconsin on there too. That should be a cool tournament to. I fished a BFL event up there a few years back and it held some decent fish.

Whippy Or Backbone For Cranks
Ive also seen where Rick said he used that rod cause he likes to use the same type rod for every bait. He said its cause you get to know how baits feel with say a medium heavy fast tip rod. Then if you pull out the whippy one for a different bait you wont know what your feeling cause its totally different from the medium heavy rod. Sounded like more of a consistancy thing.

Createx Pearl Paint Question
Alright ive been playing with createx pearl silver color. When i shoot it i get bubbles forming in the paint. It wont spray smooth. I have to let it dry an do another coat and sometimes that wont even smooth it out. I have the biggest tip that came with the airbrush like a .35 and ive thinned out the paint as much as i can without it running right off the bait when i spray. any ideas?

Uh oh I got board again. Football jigheads and shakies.
i gotta couple football jigs im working on right now. I changed the do-it mold to take the hook you use and i got some cool color combos to fish this powerplant lake that gets hammered by every lure on the shelves. So since its will not be like any of them i should do good with it lol.

Rookie having problems with his airbrush
OK now i have to wait till wednesday to call the place and freak. I was re assembling the airbrush tonight and while attaching the nozzle it snapped off from the threads that stayed in the brush. I was able to get the threaded part out but im furious. I only used this brush once! and took care of it i thought cleaning it out. The rebuild kit is 16 bucks but this shouldnt have happened already. There was not alot of stress on the part. I guess you get what you pay for i guess ill try and save up the 200 bucks for a better gravity feed than an airbrush city one. The help line is closed till wednesday long enough for me to look at it everyday and let them have it lol but to answer your questions big m it is a double action and the only time it would spray is if i pulled the needle out and then let it go back in a tiny bit then id get enough paint to make a small dot on the paper.
