Noting lure weights
How do you tell the difference? Too hard for me to tell by looking at them. 5/16 and 3/8 look almost the same.

Noting lure weights
MN I keep mine in an Edge so they are not compartmentalized.

Noting lure weights
Specifically jigs. How are you marking jigs so you know their weights? I’ve used a fine sharpie on the lighter color ones but what about the dark colors.

Doesnt anyone use rhe old fashion proven texas rig worms
Pretty sure if you did a survey asking if you could only have one bait for bass fishing, specifically largemouth, it would be the Texas rigged worm. It’s never going away.

- What is your favorite lake and the biggest fish you caught out of it?
Favorite is probably the Stick Marsh just because I’ve fished it so much for over the years and at least have some idea how to fish it ? Best out of it is 9.9. But there are so many others that I love to fish. My biggest came out of lake Marion at 11.3 and Toho produced a 10.14.- Awww, cute. My first FG knot. !!
Not using my teeth for holding anything or cutting mono anymore. Used to hold a piece of a cast net in my mouth when throwing until one of the line got behind a tooth and lost it on the throw?. $5K later for an implant. No thanks.- Awww, cute. My first FG knot. !!
Yep that’s the one MN. Just couldn’t make it work without using the pinky.- Awww, cute. My first FG knot. !!
Just tied my first few myself. I found a video that showed wrapping the leader instead of the braid. Much easier. In it he kept the tension on the braid by wrapping it around his pinky finger. I tried that and my old hands wouldn’t do it. So I took a small pair of vice grips, locked them to the braid and wrapped around my leg once leaving the grip hanging keeping tension on the braid. It left both hands to tie it. Easy peasy.- MLF Stage 3 Harris Chains
Watched a lot of it today. With the wind howling most of the week (still is) it set up well for the chatter bait guys. Winds supposed to subside in the next couple days so my guess is that will die off and flipping/pitching will ramp up.- Most consistent color
Black/blue ( flake or color) Okee craw Watermelon red Junebug It depend on what body of water I’m fishing here in Florida which is my go too. Be tough to pick just one.- Lefty
I’m a right hand retrieve guy on bc but do crank lefty on my spinning reels. Finally decided to try a lefty for my pitching and flipping. I’m pretty good at it with the left hand/ right reel but figured I’d give it a go southpaw. Hopefully that big one doesn’t rip the rod out of my hands ?. If it does check the flea market in the future ? Wish me luck boys.- Boat trailer bearings
Way2, that’s what I’m thinking about the spindles. If there’s anything in the way of metal or even rust on them, that will tear that rear seal up in a hurry. My(our?) guess is he’s got something on there causing that.- Boat trailer bearings
AJ is spot on with letting the hubs cool down before launching. Even here in Florida with a much less temp change it happens. Couldn’t imagine what happens with his temp changes. Yikes. When it’s time I never just change the bearings anymore, I buy the complete hub assembly. Yes it’s more money but I know that everything matches and is new. Have you checked your spindles to see if something is wrong with them? It would be extremely rare to have any problems with them but you never know. With the rate that you’re having to change bearings, might be worth looking at. Also when replacing the hubs, I’ll get a set of bearings at the same time and replace the ones in the old hub, repack them and wrap in stretch wrap and store in my truck so if you have a catastrophic failure on the road, you have a backup set to at least get you home.- Florida Bass Fishing
The guy in the gator video is an idiot. I mean who goes towards a gator to get better video. That looks like the Indian or Banana river area. Lots of small creeks with tarpon. Everyone know what to expect there. At least those of us that have done that. If you live in Florida you deal with gators. It’s a fact of living here.- Sun gloves
Ordered the Simms without the palm material. Very impressed with the lightness of the glove material. Should be cool but protective. Thanks for the comments guys.- Fishing gloves spin-off- face masks
Living in Florida all my life I do all the sun protection measures. I sunscreen up BEFORE I leave the house which is what you need to do so it has time to absorb. But at times I want the face covering for additional protection snd to hold hat/glasses on while running. Just looking for suggestions on a breathable face mask.- Fishing gloves spin-off- face masks
Now that we got the gloves out of the way ? whats y’all take on UV face mask/buffs? Specifically looking for ones with breath holes and least amount of glasses fogging (if that’s possible).- The cover you cannot pass by
Where 2 or 3 different types meet. Reeds to pads, pencil grass to hydrilla, hydrilla to peppergrass. You get the idea.- Sun gloves
Thanks Phish. I was wondering about the Outdoor Research ones as well. Can’t find them- Sun gloves
TX, do you have a link for those? Can’t find open palm OP anywhere.- Sun gloves
Thanks for all the replies guys. I like the open palm as I’m mainly looking for protection on the tops of my hands but still want the feel when fishing.- Sun gloves
Any recommendations on sun gloves? I have some old Buff brand which offer great protection but are too hot in our Florida sun. Looking for a light weight pair but with good grip on the rod side.- Opinions wanted for flooring color.
