  1. You should get the reel that you like the most. 75 or 80 yards of braid is all I ever spool regardless of capacity, I will back the rest of the capacity if necessary with a cheap mono. I find most of my frog fishing to be done within 30 yards, just hard to get great hooksets at distances further. I use the Falcon Cara Jason Christie Frog rod.
  2. I would just add that it can be beneficial to use the lowest pound test line possible especially when just getting your feet wet with FC. It casts a little better and has less memory. 12lb Tatsu is a joy to fish with IMO.
  3. Not to be too critical of your post but we should all understand that Heavy is a power and not an action. In my mind gear ratio is not that important for frog fishing, it is typically used to manage the slack line that is produced by the proper working of the frog, any reel that picks that slack up easily would be a good fit, IPT is the better metric in my opinion. FC line works great for contact baits especially plastics and jigs. Match your line to your setup and fishing conditions. Balance throughout your entire setup is the goal.
  4. Only restating what has already been said, the information about the spool is to only inform about capacity, it is not a suggested limit for line size. FC does stretch, it just does so much differently than nylon mono.
  5. I don't blame Ike entirely for his behavior, BASS has let it exist. Most other professional sports would have fined and suspended him into non-relevance. He is the personification of the old axiom that any press is better than none.
  6. David Fritts, Mike McClelland, Randy Howell, Jay Yellas, Charlie Reed, Paul Elias are a few others that come to mind.
  7. The "Zen Master" R.C. to name one.
  8. Amazing literally moved me to tears. From the first moment I seen this band and heard their vocals I was in love. They changed everything and done it in the face of a million critics who now pose as true fans. I give this a perfect score ^1000000000000000000000000000000
  9. Thanks for the share, I don't know why but for the life of me I just can not find enjoyment in this style of music.
  10. CHARGING/RECHARGING This product has a sealed lead acid battery. For maximum battery life, we recommend the Jump-Starter be kept fully charged at all times. Recharge before first use, immediately after each use, and once a month if not used. Failure to do this may reduce the battery life dramatically. This is also from the user manual. I would guess after 6 years of not doing the above it is probably not in very good shape.
  11. What type of batteries are in it?
  12. 9.5^ It don't get a lot better than that...
  13. Lost a real nice one at Amistad, sure would have liked to at least got a good look at.
  14. weakest link in the chain
  15. He has several nice looking patterns
  16. The green zone is for the immediate loading and unloading of passengers only there is no stopping in the yellow zone.....
  17. Good one
  18. Well, I guess you could think about it another way. He is a guest in Tennessee, and technically he is probably fishing someone else's honey hole. I would not do it, and don't condone it, but if it happened, what could be done about it?
  19. Only the people fishing in the tournament are obligated to comply with tournament rules. They do not apply to anyone else. I work all week so I can go out and enjoy a day or two of fishing. I don't go out of my way to make anyone else's life any worse but if I am fishing a spot and and tournament angler approaches me and says hey I'm fishing a tournament, I usually tell him good luck, I am fishing for fun and continue to do what I am doing. I don't care if he moves ahead of me on the same bank, I just keep fishing, I don't care if he moves in on a community hole, as long as he does not expect me to leave. The fact that they are fishing a tournament changes nothing for me.
