  1. Friction ring in Shimano spinning reels has been a long time issue. Many people just pull them out and carry on.
  2. Can you explain how trimming length from the butt end would change a rod's action to one that is slower? By slower I mean from a moderate fast to a moderate. I also assumed that trimming from the tip down would cause an increase in the action of a rod based on you would be moving closer to the transition from action to power. Can you please add to your thoughts.
  3. Hard to beat a Pflueger in this price range
  4. I don't know how many were made, but they pop up once in a while for sale on various sites. I have an Elite IB OG, which is basically a Revo Premier Gen 2 with a better finish and CF handle.
  5. It was a 2010 Revo STX with a better finish and lighter spool. There were other minor differences.

Baits rarely appear the same color underwater as they do in the hand unless the water is very clear. Color is the reflection of light. Dirty or stained water does not allow much light to penetrate so many wavelengths of light are filtered out the deeper you go. With the water filtering light, many baits will appear as a greyscale color. This is the method humans use to see color, many fish have similar components to their eyes (rods and cones). But until fish can talk it is really an educated guess as to what they truly see.
  7. Take a look at the prices here. www.zeiners.com
  8. What's the cost of shipping both ways for a Do-It mold? I am thinking it is about 8 dollars each way for USPS minimum. Couple times doing that and a guy could just about buy one.
  9. I have fished Falcon Rods for years, mostly Cara. They are a good, solid, rod with fair sensitivity. They have their own unique action and power rating, and most have a soft tip. If you have not fished one, you will most likely want to order the action and power a little stouter than you think to bring you in line with many other mainstream models. Some of the models that I find fish well are the, Eakins Jig, Head Turner, and Amistad. The Swimjig and Jason Christie Frog Rod are also solid.
  10. I once caught a humpback whale on a spirex.... would have landed it too if it weren't for those meddling kids and their dog.
  11. The short answer is yes. The detailed answer is just do a quick search on U40 and you will get more info than you will probably want to read.
  12. They are made from unicorn tears. They taste like a cross between Bald Eagle and a baby seal. On a serious note, the two prime ingredients appear to be plastisol and salt.
  13. long pause with a couple of rips if it makes it that long
  14. I did see probably the same video, it does have a cool action. I have seen other baits from this company, they are very affordable for a Japanese bait.
  15. The name of the bait is tentatively going to be the Brevian, it will be produced by Viva Lures. Suppose to be released this summer. Not much info out there about it yet.
  16. Heavy is a power my friend. Might check the for sale section.
  17. I have used the Jackall Iobee for many years. One of the easiest frogs to walk, and needs no hook or leg tuning out of the box. Tie it on and go to work.
  18. Been a while since I have heard this kind of report coming from Melvern. What was the water clarity like?
  19. Was looking to make a trip this coming weekend to either Melvern or Wolf Creek, anyone had the opportunity to look at either of these lakes this year. Open to suggestions for lakes that are fishing better at this time.
  20. Our local Cabelas had them yesterday, picked up a few. I have to say for $6 dollars each they don't look impressive, however, the reviews sure are positive.
  21. NRX - You won't regret it
  22. Interesting for sure 7^
