  1. i bought my LS for bass fishing - in depths less than 12ft of water and have zero issues with in in perspective mode. I have a Terrova and cannot mount it to the shaft so its a side pole mount for me. With that being said - i found it most useful to understand what I am looking at on my side/down imaging which I say is way overlooked. The reason I love it so much - I can really tell if my bait is running at the correct depths plus I figured out what are actually bass vs. northern vs bluegill on the thing. If you fish for more than just bass, LS or HB's LS version is for you. Plus, I really love the video game fishing aspect of it and I take mine off boat boat at the end of the year to let my neighbor use it for ice fishing.
  2. Going on what Bassaholic says - you have to call them, the websites have what is know as MAP pricing Minimum Adverstised Price. Doesn't mean they can't sell them to you for less, they just can't publish them on the web, paper, etc. for cheaper than agreed upon with the manufactuer. Note: most places have free shipping, no sales tax which you should consider with all offers as this can add up quickly.
  3. I have both the 93sv and the 93sv UHD. The real 93sv UHD does say UHD on the back. The normal 93sv will read the GT54UHD transducer but does not say it on the back. Need some photos?
  4. Or lets just over-engineer the installation like I did. Boat is a 1648 Tracker - the rear and front of the boat comes with a Attwood Swivl-Eze 3/4'' Pin Bases installed but I wanted another pin base to the left of the rear center base to sit in while driving the tiller engine and reinforce the base so it can't possibly rip out. I cut a piece of 17/32" plywood the length and width of the back bench less 1 inch on each side (not marine plywood, too expensive). Wrapped it up in vinyl and cut out two 3" holes to mount the pin bases. Cut out the section of the bench on the boat to accommodate the 1/4x20 SS machine screwed, washers, nylon locking nuts, giant washer/support bar and ground away some of flotation. Then screwed the whole thing down with 10x2" SS flat head screws every 10 inches using SS finish washers for a clean look. I designed it to hold my fishing buddy who weighs like 400lbs and not have it rip out or break when he leans back on seat/pedestal. Here is a pic of it before I mounted it down on the bench with the 10x2" SS screws. Would take a pic of it installed but lent the boat to neighbor as I got a new one.
  5. Since you mentioned outboard, you think it could be the water pressure line from the speedo?
  6. My neighbor has/had one of those ponds you can dig a hole, drop in a liner, pump and rocks and make it look pretty. It looks awesome. Here is what they don't tell you: Tiny baby rabbit falls in? You will be picking out the dead corpse. Same with mice. Building a ramp did not help. Geese nests by it? You get attacked if you come near it. Throwing fish in it? Yeah you just opened up a buffet for every wild bird in the vicinity. The only time I have ever seen an Eagle in my area is when it was gorging itself on the guy's koi carp. I live in the suburbs....
  7. The problem with the flower is that no doctor or nurse will tell you to smoke anything, thus cbd with thc is very good for some people - Like ON, I don't want to go through 50 different version of what thc cbd will work for the wife, but will bit the bullet soon enough.
  8. Did you not have 2FA on? Both sites offer that
  9. Just ordered from trickstep - think it was like $720 including shipping for a 4 step. Note - they do customize these things if you want but due to covid, backlog is around 2-3 months.
  10. These look like PC screen shots - how are you not running *** plus or ublock origin at this day and age?
  11. No sir, those tools make you look like you vape, hence making you look cool!
  12. d**n, I fish with braid all the time and no way would I say to ever catch that swimming or go near it. Saltwater hooks are usually in the +5/O sizes too.
  13. Those wet spinners gotta dry out somehow?
  14. Right handed models already shipping, left sometime in May https://japantackle.com/shimano-20metanium.html
  15. My Antares DC from 2006? 07? Is still my main reel - but no way would I say that thing is still worth $550. Haven't had the chance to use the Curado DC yet to compare
  16. Northland Tackles version of the senko - it smelled awesome and had the end of the tail dipped in bright orange. Felt like i didn't have to use scent and I could see a the small 1" inch tail come through the water when the rest of it was watermelon green. Don't feel like spending money on hand poured baits to get the same effect.
  17. Does your phone not work outside the house? You don't have to be on water and neither do they. The power of technology is always under utilized. Ever call someone to figure out a computer issue? Well, how about a video chat on Facetime or similar and just point the phone at the screen. Same thing will apply to you and teaching the kids. Slow motion video up close on when to release the bail or button on a reel when you cast good example. Tying knots to begin? Use giant rope not fishing line, much easier to see. Kids trying casting for the first time in the backyard (no water needed again), have parent point phone at them and take it slow, move rod, 2 o'clock, when to release button, etc. Teaching kids to bait a hook? Start with gummy worms. Keep it short, simple and fun - kids will get bored easily. #1 Rule when taking kids out fishing always overlooked - don't fish yourself. Devote all the time to them.
  18. They are expensive - but everyone says well worth the price - $650 for the 4 step version from trick step, and the eeze step costs$80-150 more for the pole which I don't care for. Eeze step has what looks like wider steps and they bite (anti-slip) way better but it is not like I am tracking mud in the boat. I plan to buy the trick step - note, you can get the trick step customized from Mark also. There is also https://keelguard.com/product/flexstep-pro/ if you are just looking for a boost
  19. Here is a 2019 Lund Adventurer - looks the same to me: Or try this link: https://trickstep.com/custom-brands-gallery/
  20. What boat do you have? Hard to tell by the avatar photo.
  21. On long rods - I fish with mostly 7' rods to bomb lures if I have to. Have a crap hookset? 7' can make up for it over 6'. High ratio reels - great for picking up a massive amount of line, but not for torquing in fish. Reels used for flipping? yeah, you are ripping the fish outta the weeds, not fighting it. It all comes down to convenience, you literally have 10 rods on the deck designed for a specific presentation with reels to match. Cranking slow on a 7:3 reel feels boring, cracking fast on a 5:1 feels like I am just goofing off.
  22. They troll for muskies in the prop wash less than 6ft behind the boat - so yeah, no. If you want to spend the big bucks, they make electric HP outboards too.
  23. I think the bad Evinrudes are the first gen E-Tecs and the Fitch? I'm guessing here.
