Ned Rig overall weight
How much does a typical 1/15oz. Z-Man mushroom head with either a TRD or ZinkerZ (cut in half) typically weigh once they are turned into the Ned Rig? I rarely use anything heavier than the 1/15oz. and wondered what the finished product actually weighed when casting on my medium light rod. Just curious and thank you!

Mojo Bass Rod & Shimano Nasci
The 3000 NASCI would be my choice and I do own this reel. It is the same weight (8.8oz), size, etc. from the 2500 but the 3000 has the 6.0:1 gear ratio vs. the 2500 with 5.0:1. The 3000 hold about 40 or so more yards of line and has a "T" shaped handle which is quite comfortable. The 2500 has an equally as comfortable traditional paddle handle. I like the Mojo 610MLXF, but other good choices would be the 68MXF and 71MF. It's funny I asked this post a day or so ago about matching similar rods out and when I went in to Dick's Sporting Goods yesterday with my son, an employee who was friend's with my dad before he passed handed me a friends/family discount for 35% off. So I got a 6'9" Avid X MLXF for $130!!!

Mojo spinning 7'1" MF vs. 6'8" MXF...
Thanks for all the responses. The St. Croix website states the 6'8" is designed for "wacky style" specifically and the 7'1" is for tubes, grubs, etc. I don't throw wacky style senkos (I throw them texas rigged on casting tackle) but I think the 6'8" and 7'1" are essentially the same taper but the 7'1" is "fast" since it's a little longer while the 6'8" may be labeled as "extra fast." Regardless, I think the Mojo is a great buy and that's why I asked the question. For the 3000, I may try the 7'1" but I really want something that I can throw almost all plastics (from 1/15 oz. mushroom heads with ned rigs to grubs and tube with up to a 1/4oz. head) and even some small jerk baits if I wanted to. How would the 6'8" handle these style baits comparably? Thank you!

Ok...thank you! Any reasons why? Any other input is awesome too!

Mojo spinning 7'1" MF vs. 6'8" MXF...
Can anyone tell me which would be the better choice to match with my NASCI 3000. I would like it to be an all around spinning rod (very versatile) to also compliment my Fenwick Elite Tech Smallmouth ML rods that I own. Thanks for any/all help and answers! Best wishes on the water!

Mojo vs. E6X
I know the Mojo is made in Mexico and E6X is made in the U.S.A. but the Mojo uses SCIII graphite now and I am not sure what the E6X uses. Any comparison for spinning specifically between the two rod lines? Thanks!

lures no longer made
McCollum's Bush Hog Spinnerbaits. Either single or tandem blades. Great lures that I have a few of still and they were also my dad's favorite all time lure! I wish I could find some left over in a store somewhere.

I need Alternatives to the LC Pointer 100
Storm Twitch Sticks might be the best low priced option. They are almost just like a Pointer 100 and I use both. Threadfin Shad almost perfectly matches Alewives around here, Rainbow Smelt and Pearl look good too. And they are right around $6.

Chronarch Ci4+ vs. Metanium MGL
I already have a Curado 70 and an Aldebaran on the way...as well as a discounted MGX...but am planning on buying a Metanium with the Cabela's credit I have. This adds to the Morrum ZX I just got on discount. This has been an expensive tackle month-and-a-half.

Chronarch Ci4+ vs. Metanium MGL
How do these two reels compare? One is basically half the price of the other according to U.S. prices at most retailers. The Chronarch got an Editor's Choice award on Tackle Tour and the original Metanium also did well. I am looking at adding one to my Poison Adrena 72M. Any/all detailed help would be helpful. Thank you!

St. Croix LE vs. LXtreme and Avid (upgrades 2017)
Now that the new St. Croix Legend Elite rods are out for some time with awesome reviews and fishing specific Fuji Torzite guides, does anyone see a makeover of the Legend Xtreme or standard Avid series for 2017? I noticed that the new Xtremes have the Kigan hook holder of the 2016 LE (the Legend Xtremes for some time had no hook holders) so I wonder if there are new models in the works? I know the Avid X is available but the standard Avid has been a bread-and-butter model for so many years and I wonder if they will freshen it up a bit and upgrade it for the upcoming year. Also, the Legend Tournament series is due for an upgrade. Any thoughts? Thanks and best wishes on the water!!!

New Daiwa reels to be released
I wonder if this reel (Steez A) will be priced to compete directly with the Metanium at around $400 in the U.S.

Using spare spools on different reels...
I have both a Pflueger President and Supreme XT (older model from 2013) that came with a spare spool. Will that spool (Supreme XT) fit my President if I wanted to simply change it out since they are both the 30 size reels? The spare spool has Nanofil on it and the President has mono on it. Just wondering if they were interchangeable since they are both Pflueger reels and both the 30 size. Thanks for any/all help and best wishes on the water!

Which st Croix??
I found Legend Elites the other day on sale for $50 off so I grabbed an LEC70MF. Dick's had them on that offer but it is gone now. I got a 16 with the Torzites. I hope it's a nice rod and it should be here soon. I also am interested in just a standard Avid in the 7' Medium model since I think with the slight hump in the handle it would match my Curado 70I wonderfully making it palm great and match the color scheme too.

New Daiwa reels to be released
I am also interested in the new Steez A. I wonder how it will compare to the SV103 which is on the old TD-Z/Zillion platform? Will it cast better even though it doesn't have an SV spool?

metanium
Metaniums are great reels. The braking system is different between the 13 and 16...6 brakes to 4 but the 4 are supposed to be an improvement.

Fenwick Elite tech
I love my Elite Tech Smallmouth rods. I have the 6'9" ML that I will make the case is one of the best spinning rods ever made. I was also fortunate to be able to buy a second rod in that model on closeout from a local tackle shop and it still has its plastic wrap and tags on it. I was told the reason they discontinued them was because the profit margin was not enough...in other words, they should have been charging more for the quality of the rod. Not sure if the blanks changed with the new Elite Tech Bass but it looks like the ET Walleye series carry a similar blank/actions to what the Smallmouth series used to be.

Abu Garcia Revo SC (red gen 1)
Is there any collectable value in a one year availability Abu Garcia Revo SC which was carried exclusively for Cabela's for the 2007 season? It is the first generation Revo and came in 7.1:1 gear ratio. It was crimson red in color and had a gunmetal with red accent spool. I have one that I bought back then that is in excellent condition with the box, paperwork, etc. and wondered if they were seen as something collectable. I know chain store one-off's are not normally something seen as collectable but this reel was actually a JDM that I think was supposed to match the older Fantasista rods (which they did not carry) like they imported the Daiwa Freams LTD this year. Any info on the reel would be great. Thank you!

Dobyns fury rods 734 or 735?
I have a 734C for sale that I just listed on here. It's a great rod that I hate to sell but have to. If you are interested, please let me know. It does so many things well with so many baits. Thought I would chime in. Thanks!

Reel advice for a St Croix Avid 6'6 ML
Oh yes, the Ci4+ weighs that. Sorry I thought you meant the FK which won the ICAST 2015 Best of Show. I plan on getting a 2500 Ci4+ too (the 2016 model) since the older model has some dated technology that has been surpassed by some of the lower priced reels in the Shimano lineup. Sorry for any confusion with the reel weights. Best wishes on a great reel for your needs! Shimano makes a great reel!
